Hey HN, I pay for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and use Gemini through work. Four vendors, four separate conversation histories, four profiles of how I think. None of them talk to each other. Switch providers and you start over. So I built a system where the memory is mine. I run a knowledge graph in Postgres (Supabase, free tier) with pgvector for semantic search. A small MCP server reads and writes to it. That server sits behind an MCP Gateway on a $6/month VPS, along with Brave Search and a GitHub server. TypingMind connects to the gateway as a BYOK client -- any model, any device, same…

Hey HN! Thank you for all the support and feedback on my original submission 2 months ago. I've been improving the backend using a MCTS/AlphaZero approach and it's currently producing much better results. My long term goal is to allow users to manage multiple projects, deployed autonomously, both from scratch and by making continual updates all prompted with natural language. The cost of each project has been lowered to $9 as performance with smaller models has improved (I migrated from Claude-3-Opus to gemini-1.5-flash). Thanks for checking it out!

Vibe coded app that enables developers to quickly create so called "rules for AI" used by tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor and Windsurf, through an interactive, visual interface.

I kept hitting the same wall at work every time we needed to ship an AI feature. What looked like a week of work turned into picking a model, setting up a vector DB, managing embeddings, wiring up chat history, handling retries — none of it was the actual feature. So I built Modular. You register a function that returns your app's data, then call ai.run() for one-shot features or ai.chat() for stateful conversation. Everything else — context management, embeddings, session history, model routing, retries — is handled. MCP-native from day one. Works with Claude, GPT-4o, and Gemini. Still…

Best to just try it :) The tl:dr is it helps you to r The summaries with references to parts of the page are useful now - and the "text zoom" tool a glimpse of where we can go Works with local Ollama and the usual suspects: Mistral/OpenAI/Gemini Obviously could be better - and hopefully will be :)

Hi guys, For my startup at www.mithrin.ai which is about create AI Chatbot Agents for websites, I wanted to create some free tools to attract traffic to the site and decided to create specialized chatbots powered by LLMs, similar to OpenAI's Custom GPTs. I realized that by using gpt-4o-mini, I could create quite powerful alternatives to GPTs that are free to the public for a very small cost (given how cheap the model api cost is). I've employed some throttling to prevent abuse and to avoid being charged too much. Then I integrated this with my main service and allowed users to use the…

Hey everyone! I've developed Gemini Engineer, an AI-powered CLI tool for software developers, using the Gemini API! This tool aims to assist with project creation, file management, and coding tasks through AI. It's still in development, and I'd love to get feedback from fellow developers like you. Check out the project on GitHub: https://github.com/ozanunal0/gemini-engineer Please give it a try and share your thoughts, suggestions, or any bugs you find. Thanks a bunch!

Hey HN community! Over the past year, AI copilots like Cursor and Windsurf have fueled a dramatic shift in software engineering workflows. And yet, many technical users in adjacent fields like data science and analytics have been unable to reap the rewards of this revolution. It turns out that the existing tools are a poor match for analytical workloads. Beyond that Cursor and similar tools have very poor support for Jupyter notebooks, data science is a fundamentally different discipline from software engineering and we believe it requires a correspondingly different tool. We're excited to…

Hey HN, My workflow for any complex queries is to ask it in multiple AI chats (Gemini, Claude, o3,..) in parallel and then continue the conversation with the chat response that I found the most useful. I built a simple open source app that queries 10+ AI models at once and summarizes their answers with a selected combiner AI model. There's a GIF in the github repo that shows it in action. You can try it on your local machine: https://github.com/Nexarithm/multi_model_chat If you are interested, I also made a detailed blog post on technical details, feature of the personal…

Hi everyone, I've been working on a CLI tool that can help to easily run any model in claude, Codex, Gemini, Pi, and OpenCode. It's also an API keys manager, supports multiple providers or OpenAI/Claude/Gemini accounts. You can add openrouter, poe, Vercel AI gateways etc. It has a built-in provider that is free to all, which is using Deepseek-V4, no login or API key required, add your own when you're ready. After installation you can try claude instantly (No config, no login): aivo claude Hope it's useful to someone.

I've been building AI products for a while. For this one I made a deliberate choice: none of the 16 tools use AI. Meeting cost calculators, freelance rate calculators, PRD generators, runway calculators, sprint retro boards — these problems don't need a language model. They need a well-designed form and correct arithmetic. Built on Nuxt 4 + Vue 3, fully static, runs in your browser. No account required to use anything. Optional Firebase auth only kicks in if you want to save output. Irony worth naming: Claude Code was my pair programmer throughout. The choice wasn't anti-AI — it was about…

There's LLM Council and similar tools, but they use predefined model lineups. This one is different in a few ways that mattered to me: *Bring your own models.* Mix Ollama (local), OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Google — or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — in whatever combination you want. A council of DeepSeek-R1 + llama2-uncensored + mistral-nemo is a very different deliberation than GPT-4o + Claude + Gemini. *Zero server, zero account, zero storage.* The app is purely static. API calls go directly from your browser to providers. Nothing touches a backend. No tokens, no sessions, no analytics.…

Hi HN, I'm excited to share Latitude Agents—the first autonomous agent platform built for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). With Latitude Agents, you can design, evaluate, and deploy self-improving AI agents that integrate directly with your tools and data. We've been working on agents for a while, and continue to be impressed by the things they can do. When we learned about the Model Context Protocol, we knew it was the missing piece to enable truly autonomous agents. MCP servers were first thought out as an extension for local AI tools (i.e Claude Desktop) so they aren't easily hostable in…
