I built this app primarily for my wife, who has tried many mainstream todo-list apps (OmniFocus, Things, and Todoist come to mind) over the years with little success. She isn't particularly interested in setting up a productivity system and the administrivia that goes with it. Even having to remember to look at an app once a day was far from ideal for her. This app is an attempt at a solution for anyone that fits this description, with a focus on alerting over organization. Here's how it works: you create a nudge that's set to trigger at a given date and time, and the app phones you, texts…

I've created Foorr, a minimal to-do list app that focuses on short-term getting-things-done and the option to do this with friends by holding each other accountable and helping each other grow together. Main goal is to fuel your progress whatever needs to be done and hold yourself accountable for your own progress (with some external motivation). Here's what it does: - Create tasks for today and tomorrow only (real hyperfocus on short term GTD). - Invite friends to cheer each other moving forward. - Building up a daily streak as you finish all tasks daily. All tasks completed before midnight…

http://boopapp.com/ I made boop with a friend; an experimental ephemeral messaging app. Here's the official explanation I wrote: Boops are self destructing animated text messages. Boops display one word at a time, so the recipient can’t screenshot them. Throw in emoji and you can create animations called Boopmations. Have fast, back and forth private animated text chats with anyone. Boops delete themselves as soon as you read them, so there’s no history of your private chats. It's the first version so it's fairly raw, but during beta testing it proved really popular. It seems…

Hi HN, I built Boop because I wanted application events sent directly to my phone without paying for another service or routing everything through Slack or Telegram. Boop is a small, open-source server paired with an open-source iOS app. The server currently uses around 8 MB of memory on my machine. It’s deliberately not an observability platform or a replacement for Sentry. It receives events from your applications, sends native push notifications, and keeps them in a purpose-built mobile inbox. I use Elixir, so I built an integration for ErrorTracker. ErrorTracker still captures and stores…
