Nudges.fyi – simple, unmissable reminders via phone/text/email
I built this app primarily for my wife, who has tried many mainstream todo-list apps (OmniFocus, Things, and Todoist come to mind) over the years with little success. She isn't particularly interested in setting up a productivity system and the administrivia that goes with it. Even having to remember to look at an app once a day was far from ideal for her. This app is an attempt at a solution for anyone that fits this description, with a focus on alerting over organization. Here's how it works: you create a nudge that's set to trigger at a given date and time, and the app phones you, texts…

In plain words
Nudges.fyi is a reminder app that delivers alerts via phone call, text message, or email at scheduled times. Rather than requiring users to check an app or maintain a complex task system, it focuses on proactive notifications that reach people when they need to be reminded. Users set nudges for specific dates and times, with options for recurring schedules. The service is designed for people who want straightforward reminders without productivity system overhead.

nudge2.0Jul 2026 · nudgetaskai.com · ▲107Hey HN! Nudge captures your screen every minute and uses GPT-4o to detect when you're distracted. Describe what you want to work on ("Review PRs on GitHub for 20min") and Nudge will alert when it sees you doing something else. I built Nudge because I get easily distracted at work. I've been using it for a few weeks and I'd say my procrastination is down 20-30%. (That's partly because Nudge forces me to break my day into small, concrete activities.) The AI detection can work perfectly but it depends on how clearly you describe your goal. For example, "I want to reply to my boss" is bad, but…

I made a thing! In 2014, I was holding a stack of iPhones and thought to myself: "Hey, if I had each phone display a playing card, I could click a button and they'd shuffle themselves" I pared that idea all the way down to this: trading cards made of e-ink displays. Right now, each card costs me about $20 each, but with only a bit more scale, I think I can get that down to $10. In doing this project, I learned how to design electronics and circuit boards. I learned Rust and wrote my first driver, I upped my CAD skills, 3D printed, and did my first resin casting. I generated the images on the…
