Hi HN, Alexey from Chainstack here. We built Chainstack Self-Hosted to package everything we’ve learned from 8+ years of running blockchain nodes into a single control panel. The goal we’re building this product around is to make blockchain infrastructure boring to operate. The software is free to install. You only pay for the infrastructure you run it on. The quickest way to get hands-on with it is through the Vultr Marketplace or one of the other providers listed in the docs. The current release supports Ethereum Mainnet, Sepolia, and Hoodi with Reth + Prysm full nodes. We’ll be adding…

Hello I'm Jack, I was previously a Site Reliability Engineer and i've been working on monitro.dev which makes log monitoring simple for individuals or small teams. It allows you to easily forward any logs to multiple channels such as Slack, Discord & Telegram. The events are also viewable though the admin dashboard and are easily filterable. Currently there is only an NPM package with javascript / typescript support but i have plans to expand this to other languages such as Python, Rust etc. The package has many options, one of them is forwarding any uncaught exception and as an event…

Hi all, I've submitted a post on Airpair about how to build a twitterbot that uses Node and the streaming and RESTful twitter APIs to recommend SXSW parties. I'd love any reviews or constructive criticism. https://www.airpair.com/posts/review/54fcfe16c1534a0c00e6c839 If you'd just like to check out the bot, you can find him at @SouthBotFunWest Thanks HN!

I’ve been experimenting with building a Node.js HTTP framework using Rust + Hyper with N-Api. The project started as a fully synchronous server, but I recently patched it to support async (Tokio/Hyper). That change alone nearly doubled throughput in benchmarks. What’s different: * Built directly on Hyper, no heavy abstraction * napi glue for Node.js bindings * Minimal core (sync and async engines side-by-side) * Focused on raw performance, not plugins (yet) This is still experimental and not production-ready. I’d like feedback on: * Async API design — does it feel ergonomic? *…

Hey HN Community, I recently found myself knee-deep in a fascinating challenge that I think you'll find intriguing. I'm a backend developer with a penchant for Node.js and SQL, and I've been wrestling with a problem that's both technically intricate and surprisingly common in the world of open-source development. The issue at hand? Duplicate GitHub issues. They're like weeds in a garden – you turn your back for a second, and suddenly they're everywhere, choking out the valuable discussions and dragging down productivity. So, I set out to build a bot. Not just any bot, mind you, but a Probot…
