I've been working on an app in my spare time for about the past 6 months in between my day job and taking care of my 10 month old daughter. Care to share a screenshot and the 'killer feature' of any of your personal, self-built productivity tools? eg. Hey, In early November there there were a couple of threads encouraging other fellow HN'ers to finish, and release a project by the end of November. I decided to try to hit that goal, but in the end my meticulous attention-to-detail prevented me from finishing the app in November and it took until end of December to finish it (sadly, that required me to work through through the Christmas Holidays). Hello, I have just finished my second app, which is also my first ever pay to download app. It's called StreamClock, It's like a radio alarm clock, but uses a Last.fm radio station, or Spotify Track chosen by the user. It took me 1 month of evenings and weekends, and I fell like I have learned a lot. I am particularly proud of the logo... To find it just search "StreamClock" in Google Play. Just wanted to share my latest project Taskstax, it's just a simple Kanban kind of trello clone, built mainly for the learns, but it works too so it's online. Simple Kanban boards, easy login that takes you straight to it. It uses socket.io for data xfer after login which was fun to setup and also makes it work well. Totally free, any feedback would be cool or if you wanted some info on the tech just ask.

i built a heart rate zone training app for runners. ios + apple watch. custom zones, real-time haptics, post-run graphs. all the “smart” stuff you’d expect. but i never talked to a single runner before building it. not even myself lol. started as a thesis → kept building → added features → added a paywall (€4/month!) → launched it → and yeah… no one cared. zero feedback. zero users. just code in the void. i recently made the whole thing free. not trying to “sell” anything now — just seeing if it’s actually useful, and listening this time. curious how others handle this. ever build…

Built this at a Startup Weekend last November. We've been sitting on this code for months. Would love to have some people signup and throw us a little feedback. We're a small group competing at a local StartupWeekend (http://startupweekend.org) and were hoping to get feedback on our app idea. We're very close on a working prototype for android, using accelerometer data to determine music that would match a user's intensity level. I've just published my app and I would love to have more feedback on it. I got the idea when I was busy moving around several projects during my last semester. And I always don't know which project I should work on next.
