Hello HN! I’m Jonathan from TensorDock. After 7 months in beta, we’re finally launching Core Cloud, our platform to deploy GPU virtual machines in as little as 45 seconds! https://www.tensordock.com/product-core Why? Training machine learning workloads at large clouds can be extremely expensive. This left us wondering, “how did cloud ever become more expensive than on-prem?” I’ve seen too many ML startups buy their own hardware. Cheaper dedicated servers with NVIDIA GPUs are not too hard to find, but they lack the functionality and scalability of the big clouds. We thought to…

Greetings HN! This is Doruk from Oblivus, and I'm excited to announce the launch of our platform, Oblivus Cloud. After more than a year of beta testing, we're excited to offer you a platform where you can deploy affordable and scalable GPU virtual machines in as little as 30 seconds! https://oblivus.com/cloud - What sets Oblivus Cloud apart? At the start of our journey, we had two primary goals in mind: to democratize High-Performance Computing and make it as straightforward as possible. We understand that maintaining GPU servers through major cloud service providers can be…

Hello. I wrote a multitasking 16-bit real mode "operating system" that works on every IBM PC compatible computer, and a TCP/IP stack for it. Then I wrote an HTTP server for it.

Hi HN! We’re Yann, Edouard, and Bastien from Koyeb (https://www.koyeb.com/). We’re building a platform to let you deploy full-stack apps on high-performance hardware around the world, with zero configuration. We provide a “global serverless feeling”, without the hassle of re-writing all your apps or managing k8s complexity [1]. We built Scaleway, a cloud service provider where we designed ARM servers and provided them as cloud servers. During our time there, we saw customers struggle with the same issues while trying to deploy full-stack applications and APIs resiliently. As…

Dear startups, We've recently launched our service that helps deploy capacity across AWS EC2 spot to provide high availability and up to 90% discount on compute. Magic happens by us predicting spot prices and distributing capacity across dozens of uncorrelated Spot auctions to limit exposure to possible price spikes. As serial entrepreneurs we know first hand how important it is to iterate quickly and reducing the compute cost is one of the ways to approach it. If your company's AWS bill is significant (>$10k/month) and you have an interesting use case that we can discuss - we'd be…

Warning: As soon as I post this I know the machine is going to be basically DoS'ed. It's not hard to DoS a DOS machine. The machine may refuse to serve your request, but it will stay running, and that's the important part. This is a follow-up to something I posted three weeks ago. Ye old web server running the mTCP HTTP server on DOS has now passed 500 hours of runtime and it is still going, at least until the power glitches. The stats so far: Run-time: 505 hours TCP/IP connections: 34230 Objects served: 38865 TCP Packets sent/received: 996627, 889798 All packet types…

I built this over the weekend. Any feedback is appreciated. Please note you will need a WebGL enabled browser. Thank you for checking it out. --UPDATE-- HN Traffic is strangling earthbit. There is sporadic downtime due to the web services I am using, if no transactions appear after a few seconds, then please try again in an hour.

I wanted to know how fast a 26B mixture-of-experts model could run on a desktop CPU with no GPU. Got ~40 tok/s single-stream (lossless) and ~124 batched. The surprising part was the byte budget: for this model you compress the output head (32% of per-token bytes), not the experts (16%). The writeup has the bandwidth roofline and the dead-ends; the repo has the reproducible recipe. Happy to answer questions. Repo: https://github.com/arun-prasath2005/gemma4-cpu-moe

Hey folks! I’m Jonathan from TensorDock, and we’re building a cloud GPU marketplace. We want to make GPUs truly affordable and accessible. I once started a web hosting service on self-hosted servers in middle school. But building servers isn’t the same as selling cloud. There’s a lot of open source software to manage your homelab for side projects, but there isn’t anything to commercialize that. Large cloud providers charge obscene prices — so much so that they can often pay back their hardware in under 6 months with 24x7 utilization. We are building the software that allows anyone to become…

I built an unofficial CLI and MCP server for Lambda cloud GPU instances. The main idea: your AI agents can now spin up and manage Lambda GPUs for you. The MCP server exposes tools to find, launch, and terminate instances. Add it to Claude Code, Cursor, or any agent with one command and you can say things like "launch an H100, ssh in, and run big_job.py" Other features: - Notifications via Slack, Discord, or Telegram when instances are SSH-ready - 1Password support for API keys - Also includes a standalone CLI with the same functionality Written in Rust. MIT licensed. Note: This is an…

Hey HN! We built DNS Directory (https://dnsdirectory.com), a free, searchable database of public DNS servers with live monitoring every 10 minutes. We needed to find an up-to-date list of DNS servers used by carriers around the world for a proxy fingerprinting / web-scraping project but we were shocked to find that it didn’t exist so we built it ourselves in an internal Hackathon We’re adding more features but so far we: Test 77K+ servers every ~10 minutes Allow filtering by uptime, location, security features (ad blocking, malware protection, DNSSEC) Show info on IPv6…
