Author here. Got tired of checking Upwork, NoFluffJobs, eFinancialCareers, LinkedIn and HN threads separately, so I built a CLI that scrapes them into a local SQLite DB and lets me browse everything in one web UI with filters and semantic search. Details: - Scraping via real browser over CDP (your own logged-in session, no API keys) - Embeddings run locally (nomic-embed-text via fastembed), stored in Lance - Rust backend, SolidJS frontend embedded in binary, single static executable Works for my use case (Europe-based contractor). Hey everyone, I recently built OpenJobHub, a free and open source job board for engineers. My goal is simple: in these tough times, I hope more people can find good jobs, and that job information can be more open and transparent. Feel free to share it with any recruiters, HRs, or friends who are hiring. Let's build a healthier job ecosystem together. GitHub: https://github.com/junminhong/jobs Website: https://jobs.wowkit.net

No-code automation platforms such as Zapier or IFTTT are too restrictive for technical tasks; CI/CD platforms make it easy to script tasks related to a repository, but are limited when trying to do anything else. I wanted the low level control you have when writing scripts while retaining the comfort of a platform managing execution for me. So I…

Hi HN! We launched 10000resumes.com as a fun, visual alternative for developers to showcase their skills, roles, and social links in a grid format (inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage). Since our last post, we’ve added: Search functionality: Highlight profiles in real-time by skill, role, or name. Price drop to $0.19/spot: To reduce spam (free grids risked low-quality entries). Why repost? Previous posts were flagged for criticizing LinkedIn (lesson learned! ). We’re not here to bash platforms—just offer a quirky, browsable space for devs. Feedback drove major updates: search,…
