There is a mobile game called DragonBox. It sort of tricks you into learning algebra by starting with very abstract manipulations of a puzzle that must follow rules... gradually the game teaches you more and more rules and also strips out the more abstract elements until on the last levels you are finally solving real equations. From 2020-23 I taught at a highly accelerated math program in Pasadena, CA and was given the opportunity to develop and teach a quantitative computer science track for participating 10th-12th graders who had an interest in CS. This course was intended for ages 7 and up, including adults. I really tried to make the material accessible to everyone, and hopefully not be too boring, while it establishes a solid foundation for learning anything else. If you do watch it, let me know if it is helpful in getting a solid foundation! My background: Before I got full-time into software development, I was doing a Ph. D in math at NYU.
