1. Single universal binary, that can be natively executed on every hardware platform Mac OS X was made for (32/64 bit, PowerPC/x86/AppleSilicon). 2. Minimalistic gadget-style design. If launched as a tool, there is no menubar, no dock icon, no nothing, just the clock window. 3. Support for hidpi and dark mode for environments, that have them. 4. Window title bar for moving the window with a mouse, and a handle to resize it (latter for OS versions, that have it). 5. Can be easily ported to GNUStep and thus other OSes (sources under GPLv3). 6. Simple Makefile build system.

A clock app for my Apple ][ clone in 6502 assembly, using interrupts generated by an inductive proximity sensor and a physical pendulum clock. I wanted to polish the code a bit more before sharing (I especially dislike the self modifying code part), but the computer seems to have developed a hardware problem lately and it keeps crashing (bad RAM chip most likely), so I am sharing as is.

Oclock is an interactive 3D WebGL globe that visualizes real-time daylight cycles. Built with Globe.gl and pre-processed spatial data pipeline. Processing Pipeline The data generation is handled by timezone_data_generator.py. This script performs the following: 1. Geometry Analysis: Uses shapely to find a representative point inside each country's boundary. 2. Timezone Mapping: Uses timezonefinder to look up the specific IANA timezone string for those coordinates. 3. Data Injection: Injects the timezone and coordinates back into the GeoJSON properties for use by the frontend. Live Demo:…

3 weeks ago I had a nasty accident and fractured my vertebrae. As I lay in bed I needed something to take my mind off it all so built "Claudoro". Claudoro is a pomodoro timer built right into the Claude Code status line, as well as can be directly controlled from Claude Code and the CLI. A few years ago I built "pymodoro" which was great, but recently I felt I needed something embedded in the tools I actually use, and I also wanted something that was flexible, and I could tweak and nudge. Anyway I hope it is useful to you, and I'd love some feedback on how to improve it. Thank you...! PS…

Hi HN! I've built [CXXStateTree](https://github.com/ZigRazor/CXXStateTree), a modern C++ header-only library to create hierarchical state machines with clean, intuitive APIs. It supports: - Deeply nested states - Entry/exit handlers - State transitions with guards and actions - Asynchronous transitions with `co_await` (C++20 coroutines) - Optional runtime type identification for flexibility It's ideal for complex control logic, embedded systems, games, robotics, and anywhere you'd use a finite state machine. I’d love feedback, use cases, or contributions from the…

Hey y’all! About 7 years ago, I had this idea to write a JIT with an autogenerated backend for x86 based on the ISA specs. I sketched something out and then just kinda let it sit. I picked it up again a few weeks ago and made a complete-ish backend for both x86 and ARM64. It has no dependencies, the backends are completely autogenerated (by horrible, horrible JS scripts), and I built a small abstraciton layer for things like functions prologues etc. It’s super duper early and will probably break on your machine, but it’s good enough to compile some cool examples (look at the examples…
