Products that do what Claude Code for Django does

Chris Wiles showcased his setup for Claude Code and I thought it was sick. So I adapted it for Django projects. Several skills have been added to address the pain points in Django development.

Hi y'all. Been working on something that should've been made a long time ago imo. It compiles codebases into O(1) hashmaps that the agent queries to discover the structure of your code/answer questions/write code. It also does complete static analysis checks on any writes the agent makes. Don't take my word for it though. Here are the benchmarks: https://benzi.fly.dev/benchmark. on 2/20 tests, Claude Code (mostly Sonnet on one task) regressed or timed out. Benzi didn't because of course, it has a map it can query and not get lost in the sauce. On the other 18 it…

I've been working on this internal project initially both to learn more Vibe-Coding but also to help our teams and projects to use AI more efficiently. As more people used it, it grew to support multiple teams/projects to analyze their Claude Code conversation and optimize them over time (understanding how to write better conversation with Claude Code and share knowledge between them) With time we added support for multiple Claude account management and monitor usage/rate limit. This is a simple project but has proved to be quite useful for our company. We have reached 5000+…

Hi, I’ve been exploring Claude 3.5 code generation abilities for a while and it looks like it can generate more consistent code than other models. However it would still be unmaintainable if you ask it to write a lot of code and it still sucks at system design. So, I’ve been playing around the idea of using the code repository with a template for directory layout and infrastructure, then adding the repository information to Claude and asking it to generate code. It seems that it works, if I pass the structure of some OpenAPI based backend it can update the API definition and implementation…

heylo! open sourcing a plugin that I've been daily driving for a month. And I promise, I can't go back to vanilla Claude Code. I'm a heavy Claude Code user, and a couple of things kept bugging me. Claude really likes to jump into code. And its responses are too long. I'd skim past walls of text just to find the recommendation. Plan mode helps, but it didn't go deep enough. The questions it asked were still implementation questions, when what I actually needed was alignment on the problem. So I made it stop. Relay is a different output style and two Python hooks. When you describe what you…

Hey everyone, recently I've been theorizing how claude code's agentic capabilities and overall structure can be extended to image generation. And so, I created this concept where an image is generated, and an agentic evaluation loop identifies what's wrong with the image and fixes it.

Hi Hacker News! I’m Ritam, working with the small but mighty team at Nori. We’ve been obsessed in recent months with how to take tools like Claude Code from “I’ll experiment around with this” to “This is the most useful and necessary thing I use every day”. When I first sat down with our team to check out what they’d built, I found my skepticism about agentic coding melting away—they’d built useful, high quality, handwritten skills, instructions that functioned as “skillsets” to tie skills together for consistent and replicable results, and tooling to manage loading the right context for the…

Hola HN! Long time lurker, sometimes commentor, first time poster here. I’ve been working alongside my two co-founders and a few colleagues on a project I’m excited (and a little nervous) to share with you all! Like many of us, I’ve lived a tortured existence with AI coding (is it vibes?) over the past few months - I think November was a big moment with this. But, one thing I’ve noticed after building orchestration layer after orchestration layer is that the thing I always came back to was “what the hell is Claude Code actually doing?” Perhaps it’s because of the time Claude Code got…

Claude Code is amazing at writing code, but it will happily build from under-specified requirements, implement the same thing different ways, and fail to write great tests unless you specifically ask it to. Prawduct is a set of prompts, skills, hooks, and artifact templates that help focus Claude Code on product development rather than code development. You can start from something a simple as "make a website with a scientific calculator" or as complex as "create a MMO with clients for iOS, Android, and web". You can specify as much or as little arch standards or implementation details as…

Saw the remotion claude skills launch earlier, and honestly even though I was surprised how decent some of the results turned out to be I ended up never trying it out with claude code because I knew I'd have to setup remotion, bundler etc and if I was already doing it once I thought I might as well turn it into a site where anyone could just write messages and get a video without any prerequisites. I also know Claude Code is not something everyone has and setting up remotion is a pain. And one of the biggest lessons I learned from this whole experience is that Opus is actually not that good…

hey guys, i wanted to show one of my side projects. The idea is a coding harness (independent of models) natively designed for C/C++ developer workflows. I'm a C++ dev and do not find claude code work well with C++ toolchain like gdb and perf. The current version has integrations for gdb, clang-tidy, cppcheck, sanitizers, perf, benchmarking, compile DB navigation, Godbolt, symbolization, binary inspection, and decompilation. It supports Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, and self-hosted models. There are editor workflows for VS Code, CLion, emacs, neovim, and cursor.

Claude Code is amazing for individuals but terrible for teams. I spent the last six months building my perfect mix of MCP servers, subagents, commands and skills. Claude Code writes 100% of the code now, but sharing this with my team? Painful. 1. Blog posts and workshops don't work (and don't scale) 2. Committing tools to N repos means N PRs. A tool changes? N more PRs. 3. Same tools, different files or folders for each AI assistant; not everyone uses Claude Code It is like 1999 all over again; FTPing files up to prod and versioning with ".bak" suffixes. So I built sx. It is your team's…

Hey HN, I wanted to share an open source plugin + skills I put together that turn Claude Code into a job search assistant. The goal is to minimize the amount of time needed to find interesting and relevant jobs. How it works: 1. Clone the repo, install the plugin, and run `/job-search` 2. Claude will ask a few questions to understand the roles you’re interested in and save your preferences locally. 3. Claude will then pull live job postings (currently, LinkedIn Jobs), compare posts against your preferences, and generate a digest of the posts that are relevant. 4. [Optionally] Claude…

I’ve found coding agents to be great at 1/ finding everything they need across large codebases using only bash commands (grep, glob, ls, etc.) and 2/ building new things based on their findings (duh). What if, instead of a codebase, the files were all your workplace docs? There was a `Google_Drive` folder, a `Linear` folder, a `Slack` folder, and so on. Over the last week, we put together Craft to test this out. It’s an interface to a coding agent (OpenCode for model flexibility) running on a virtual machine with: 1. your company's complete knowledge base represented as…

When AI coding tools help you plan a project, they describe your options in text and ask you to pick. That works fine for technical choices but falls apart for anything visual. "A sticky navbar with a hamburger menu" vs "a sidebar with collapsible sections" is hard to evaluate without seeing them. I built a Claude Code skill that generates a self-contained HTML page for each decision point and opens it in the browser. Each page has four options with visual previews (rendered CSS mockups for UI decisions, flow diagrams for interactions, architecture diagrams for technical choices), a…

I reviewed Anthropic's newly released Claude Code and compared it to Aider. CC has a great design, and I'll be using it sometimes (especially in large code bases), but I'm sticking with Aider as my primary tool for now. If you use LLM coding tools on the command line, then I hope you'll find this useful!

Hey HN, as a former data analyst, I’ve been tooling around trying to get agents to do my old job. The result is this system that gets you maybe 80% of the way there. I think this is a good data point for what the current frontier models are capable of and where they are still lacking (in this case — hypothesis generation and general data intuition). Some initial learnings: - Generating web app-based reports goes much better if there are explicit templates/pre-defined components for the model to use. - Claude can “heal” broken charts if you give it access to chart images and run a…
