hey guys, i wanted to show one of my side projects. The idea is a coding harness (independent of models) natively designed for C/C++ developer workflows. I'm a C++ dev and do not find claude code work well with C++ toolchain like gdb and perf. The current version has integrations for gdb, clang-tidy, cppcheck, sanitizers, perf, benchmarking, compile DB navigation, Godbolt, symbolization, binary inspection, and decompilation. It supports Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, and self-hosted models. There are editor workflows for VS Code, CLion, emacs, neovim, and cursor.

It uses your local Claude and GitHub CLI and git worktrees, so there's nothing to configure beyond what you already have. Our AI coding workflow was a hodgepodge of scripts and ad-hoc processes, so we built this to centralize and streamline - and most importantly adapt as things change. Some cool features so far (lots more planned): 1. One click github issue to agent working on it. 2. Claude Code's --dangerously-skip-permissions flag lets agents run without interruption, but it needs a sandboxed environment to be safe. dangerously is an open source tool that spins up an isolated container and runs Claude Code inside it — file system changes are restricted to your project directory. I participated in the Nvidia + Vercel 2 hour hackathon in SF tonight, and built something I've wanted, but hadn't tried building. I implemented an MCP Server and VS Code extension to allow Claude Desktop to place breakpoints, step through code, and execute expressions (assuming language support). So you can ask it a question that requires actually stepping through the code and now it can actually do that - check values for you, etc. It's _definitely_ not perfect. Have improvements? Hey HN, Over the past 10 months I've been using Claude Code heavily, and one limitation kept coming up: you can really only run one coding agent at a time. While one agent is refactoring something, the rest of the repo is basically blocked unless you start manually juggling branches and working directories. The core issue is that AI coding agents operate directly in your filesystem. If two agents run in the same working directory they quickly start stepping on each other’s changes. I've been a big fan of fly.io with it’s devx, but cold starts and pricing have been a consistent problem. Even for side projects it's painful if they take 30s to load, it just kills the whole experience. With coding agents becoming good, there were a lot more things I started building, and I just wanted to run all of those things! GCI was built to solve this.
