It reads your OAuth token from macOS Keychain, polls the Anthropic usage API, and displays your 5-hour and 7-day utilization as a clean progress bar right in your menu bar. Zero token consumption. Anthropic's usage analytics dashboard is only available to Team and Enterprise org admins. On a Pro or Max plan all you get is /usage and the claude.ai usage page, which show where you stand right now but not where you're heading. I looked at various open-source projects but none quite matched what I had in mind: an all-round control panel for Claude Code that's also a single binary, with no dependencies and no install steps. Hey HN, I've personally been having a hard time keeping track of all the changes to AI subscriptions these days. Sama is always tweeting about ChatGPT usage limits being improved as they add more GPUs, nobody knows how many Claude messages you get in a day, and Windsurf just recently updated their pricing plan. It's becoming increasingly difficult to get a clear and transparent view of what you're actually getting with each subscription.
