Howdy HN, As a small side project, I built a small app to share weekly time schedules. It's been useful for me to help schedule meeting and share semester schedules with friends. Care to share a screenshot and the 'killer feature' of any of your personal, self-built productivity tools? eg. I made my own calendar and money-tracker last year - there are no other users, it makes no money, I have no plans to make it public, but it holds my life together :) http://i.imgur.com/h2keJDg.png GREAT BECAUSE... it tells me how much I'm going to get paid this month. I got tired of trying to figure out my vacation balance throughout the year, so I made this website to be a stupid simple solution. It was pretty satisfying to bang it out over a weekend. * not all holidays are supported, and probably will do some custom-holiday-in-cookie functionality, but this is a common US list. * basically only looks good on 'normal' sized browsers

It's just a whimsical little portfolio piece. I just missed putting stickers on a calendar like I did when I was a kid. The calendar is my own and it contains some clever code. (Note how the "leftover" days on the previous and next month behave.) There's also a O(1) double-ended queue behind the UIScrollView so that there's the illusion of infinite scrolling with only 5 objects.

Hi guys, This is my first time building something from scratch so go easy on me. I've always used to-do lists to keep me productive and stave off anxiety (not sure why they work so well for me but they do). I get kinda annoyed at the to-do list apps on the app stores because they move tasks to the bottom of the list when you tick them off. For years I've used paper and a printed clock to organise my day. Found it way better than any list or timeline app. Played around a bit and made a digital clone to speed things up: Reassign.app (best experience is on desktop) Anyone else think of their day as a circle rather than a list? edit: it also has MCP integration (https://reassign.app/api/mcp) — my Claude already connects to Linear and Calendar, so I use it to start and plan my day. I can quickly get a skeleton of a day out and then polish until done.

Hi HN! In the last couple of weeks I've been working on Cranki: Cranki = Crosswords + Anki. (It's a stupid name tbh, haha) I like doing crosswords in Spanish (to learn vocab) but none of the apps out there allowed me to use my own list of words that I come across. So I built one instead. It's entirely client-side. No server, no database, no accounts, etc. Your words and stats are stored in local storage. I built this for myself but let me know if you like it!

My partner and I do a lot of planning around things like holidays and trips, which involves a mix of firm, tentative, and overlapping plans, and normal calendars are the wrong fidelity for that kind of planning.
