I wrote this over the last couple of weeks using Rails 3, Twilio and a variety of Gems, putting in about 2 hours per day. I'd love any feedback from the HN community on any aspects of the site (design, API construction, documentation, marketing, pricing which is TBD). I needed to get out of localhost:3000 land and ship a (somewhat functional) web app. Anyways, I built Current Ride as a place to put your bucket list items out in the open. The goal is really to inspire the community to do more things! I've done a lot of standalone apps, but ThreeBar is my first service and "weekend project." I built it to take on a new type of project, but I've actually been using the service myself for a couple of months now on my own websites. ThreeBar is a "welcome bar" service. I wanted the raw, old skool terminal days of the early internet - BBS, and old green phosphor library comptuers - but running the modern web, with all the bells and jingle jangle whistles (JavaScript, etc). Hey all, I have been building Minimado (spelled mini-meadow) over the past few days It's got a minimalist theme inspired by Project IDX from Google, a command mode where you would use terminal-navigation and shortcuts to use the tool, and it could also be downloaded as a native app for any platform.
