My 24-hour project, instacss.com

http://instacss.com (in case DNS update hasn't propagated: http://morning-warrior-3377.herokuapp.com/) Last night I was annoyed at how slow (and web 1.0-ish) most CSS reference sites seem to be, so I created this. It's basically a scrape of the CSS reference on w3schools, but with client side searching. Feedback is most welcome! some of the tech involved: node, requirejs, backbone, mongodb the code: http://github.com/rgarcia/instacss

In plain words

InstaCss is a fast CSS reference tool built from W3Schools data, designed for developers who need quick access to CSS documentation. It features client-side searching for instant results without server requests, making it significantly faster than traditional CSS reference sites. The tool uses Node, Backbone, and MongoDB to deliver a modern web experience for looking up CSS properties and syntax.

It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
