Products that do what Cursor Rules Generator does
Hey HN, Prasad here, I've been using cursor from very early days. Adding rules to my project really improved the quality and the Autonomity of cursor agent, but it took a good bit of time for me to do that manually. So I built a tool to generate rules based on the technology and various preferences. Please check it out. https://cursor-rules-generator.xyz/

While Cursor is picking off and a lot of developers trying it out. I believe that a vast amount of beginners still struggle with a lot of basics and how to use the app. So I have compiled a few demos from the docs, and X tweets, and recorded a few myself so beginners can see how the cursor works. The website is open source, and my first time contributing, so if there are any mistakes or improvements to be made please let me know! thanks :)

Hi HN, I'm building Cursor Search, a Chrome extension that brings AI-powered search capabilities right to your cursor. I'd love to get your thoughts and feedback. What it does: Activates with a keyboard shortcut Displays a search bar that follows your cursor Provides instant AI-generated answers without leaving your current page Tech stack: Frontend: JavaScript, React (next js) Backend: Node.js AI: OpenAI's GPT-3.5 (planning to implement local models in the future) Hosting: Cloudflare DB: Supabase Why I built it: As a developer, I often found myself constantly switching tabs to look up…

I used to run a startup back in 2018 where I built highly relevant prospect leads for companies manually. This is an Ai agent that does what I used to do manually - source, curate, enrich, qualify leads, and find the right decision makers with contact information. The Ai agent builds a custom database of leads automatically We just upgraded the new UI as well as made our agents smarter. Check out the new website: https://kurationai.com/ Demo: https://youtu.be/KmlGnP3dzkE?si=N6FZwNubi70hS4nJ Use "PHK15" to get 15% off on any plan. Thanks, Aurelien, Founder,…

I saw that the image of "An anatomy of an o1 prompt" that was originally created by Ben Hylak (https://x.com/benhylak) was going viral around the internet and was being used by others to show off their own prompts I thought it would be cool to try and make this into a tool, give kudos to the original creator Ben and see how easy it would be to do this all with Cursor and the latest Claude model

Hey HN, I'm Namanyay and I've been using Cursor since 2 years, but it seems to make mistakes as the project size grows. This caused me to have to repeat myself a lot and it used to break my flow. I realized it's because Cursor (and other AI tools) are not able to keep an overview of the project. Plus, Cursor does not have a "memory" layer to remember important things that the user has already mentioned. I solved this by building an open-source MCP which maintains project and memory information within the user's file system. It's simple and installation takes 30 seconds. Github:…

I'm a journalist and product developer by day, and a curious generalist who loves making things whenever I find time. I've always loved building little web apps, even with my limited coding skills. As a student and early in my career, I had a lot of time, so it didn't matter. In recent years however, with life being busy as it is, most of my ideas stayed at the back of my mind. There simply wasn't enough time to compensate for my limited skills. Until I started working with Cursor, that is. All of a sudden, the time needed to turn an idea into a working prototype is once again within what…

Hi HN! I'm Seth from Spectre, the world's first Cursor for Google Docs. Everyone's building a Cursor for writing, but no one is integrating into existing platforms that have billions of monthly active users such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word. We currently have two features - an autocomplete that's similar to Cursor's 'tab' system and a diff editor activated with Ctrl + Shift + K over a selected piece of text. You can check out a demo on our website and download the extension from there. Not many people are building this deeply in extensions from what we have seen so we are super stoked…

Was getting annoyed copy-pasting stuff from websites into ChatGPT all the time, basically wished Cursor's CMD+K worked everywhere. So I built a little Chrome extension, InPageAI, that tries to do just that: https://inpageai.com Hit a shortcut on any page, it grabs the context automatically, and you can ask AI to summarize, explain, etc. You can also use it to write directly into input fields/text boxes. It's pretty early days, but give it a try? Would love to hear what you think, or if you find places it breaks!

I built a small UI design agent that explores multiple UI designs at once, and iterates with or without user input. No need for complicated magic prompts to converge on good design. To get the agent to reliably produce good-looking, functional designs, I generated over 1000 designs while tweaking the system prompt. Let me know what you think!
