What it does
Update your knowledge of the world. One quiz at a time. Dataguessr is a free browser game based on real-world statistics. Your job is to compare countries and get them in the correct order: Which country has seen the largest growth in productivity? Which countries are most gender-equal? Where do most people live in cities? Annual working hours? GDP per capita? Patent applicatations? Be prepared to be surprised!

Dataguessr is built and maintained by David Bauer , a curious generalist who loves making things . This game is inspired by the work of Gapminder and Our World in Data . It uses data to give you a better understanding of the state of the world. To borrow from Our World in Data's mission: To make progress towards a better future, we need to understand what's already working and where further action is needed. I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into!
