An Erlang library for generating adversarial network conditions for QAing distributed applications/systems on a single Linux box. - lostcolony/damocles
Damocles is an Erlang library that simulates adverse network conditions to test distributed applications on a single Linux machine. It enables developers to generate adversarial scenarios like latency, packet loss, and… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. Hi There, Erlang-RED has been my project for the last couple of months and I would love to get some feedback from the HN community. The idea is to take advantage of Erlangs message passing and low overhead processes to have true concurrency in Node-RED flows. Plus also to bring low-code visual flow-based programming to Erlang.

This is a low-level opensource library I developed for my own use and decided to share, as it makes it possible to process large checkpoints of neural networks without renting high-RAM instances, on a regular PC. It replaces torch.load() with a custom function that produces a dictionary that materializes tensors on the fly. Compared to other solutions it doesn't require sharding or re-encoding checkpoints and uses them completely as-is. It is a foundation to make it possible to run inference and compress language models and other large models one layer at a time - in principle, even one…

I built a small Linux tool to deterministically verify GPU PCIe link health and bandwidth. It reports: - Negotiated PCIe generation and width - Peak Host→Device and Device→Host memcpy bandwidth - Sustained PCIe TX/RX utilization via NVML - A rule-based verdict derived from observable hardware data only This exists because PCIe issues (Gen downgrades, reduced lane width, risers, bifurcation) are often invisible at the application layer and can’t be fixed by kernel tuning or async overlap. Linux-only: it relies on sysfs and PCIe AER exposure that Windows does not provide.
