Hey everyone! While searching for entrepreneurial ideas on various sites, I noticed there wasn’t a dedicated space for finding and discussing real-world problems that need solving. That’s why I created the Problem Platform—a place where we can share, explore, and tackle problems together. Check it out!

Hey fellow HN-ers, I'd like to ask HN about my latest startup: SocialFolders. We take a Dropbox-like approach to managing your content on your social networks by mirroring all the content you have on these networks in folders on your computer. Moving this content around, between folders or between services, is mirrored in the all-mighty "cloud" (ugh, I hate this word). We'd love to know what you think. We think our approach solves the problem of managing content at scale. We put together a quick 2'30 screencast to show HN how it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4s2TFsVezZQ If you want…

I created Curenote, a social way for people to get help with their health problems. Others who may have experienced the same health problem can offer their knowledge and advice on what they did to cure their ailment or illness. People can offer their advice and support on topics such as cancer/diabetes, sexual health, drugs & alcohol, violence, diet & fitness and many more. Please let me know what you think. Your honest feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!

TLDR: I made a community where you can find builders or product owners to collab on sideprojects together with <3 A year ago i completed my first sideproject, a digital course on how to "cold email a chief information security officer". I thought and think its a great course, but of course I fell into all the traps (didnt verify a need, i thought id make it and everyone would buy automatically), i tested google ads but hated nerding on that, so i decided to find a marketing person to partner up with! But i knew no one! That got me thinking how many people with relevant knowledge that isnt…

Built this to microblog everything I am learning as a dev. It's an MVP, lots to improve on! Would love some feedback. (: Also am looking for a job (preferably remote since I'm in SG), 1.5 years in as a Jr Dev at a local startup, self-taught by building stuff. I'll be on Twitter if you're interested! @raymondmoay

Me and some friends just released a new app. It is matchmaking tool for thinkers and makers. It's a MVP(Native iOS - https://itunes.apple.com/app/id883667173) We would love some feedback on the app before launching and going into the growth state. You can also read more about our vision here: http://www.makemove.se/ Have a nice one!

PG has posted about improving social networks using something like an "intellectual CAPTCHA" many times [1][2][3][4] - "Make users pass a test on basic concepts like the distinction between necessary and sufficient conditions before they can tweet." I felt the same way. So I built one using a mix of simple math, logic, and Twitter/X Community Noted posts. Try sample questions here - https://mentwire.com/sample - without signing up. - Invites are temporarily open to HN users. - Onboarding test + one daily question before accessing feed, post or reply. - Posts authors are…

Hey HN. We've been working on a community platform/Reddit alternative with a focus on building a place for people to create communities instead of just buckets of posts. We want communities to feel like a place where you want to hang out instead of just scroll. At a high level, our platform is like a Reddit/Discord/Patreon hybrid. We took all of the best features from each of those platforms and combined them under one umbrella. Here's a list of the core features of each community: 1. Customizable discussion boards: Community owners can set up threaded discussion boards for…

After a weekend of coding, last night I launched a very early-version MVP of Coders Who Care. - The goal of the site is to connect nonprofits with developers willing to donate time to a good cause. Right now, it's simply a directory, but in the future I'll be adding more tools for devs and organizations, including ways for charities to post projects and tools to notify developers when a project is posted that matches their interests, etc. I'll also introduce some social components, like recommendations/endorsements, and I have plans for eventually adding a software distribution system that…
