I saw The Mahjong Guide (https://themahjong.guide/) today and loved how much a good visual explanation can do for an old game. Around the same time, this HN thread about using coding assistants to revive projects you never were going to finish (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47902525) pushed me to actually do something with the idea. I had a lot of fun with this one. She's used it several times, and I watch, to see what subtle bugs or ux issues there may be. And when she gets on the bus I fix them quickly before work. It's been a fun game to create where it gives here immediate feedback and she's willing to study more. Her test is this Friday. fingers crossed that it helped her!

Hey HN, I made https://linkians.com which is a game where all the action and state is contained in the url. The game involves taking care of little pets (emojis) that live in your url bar. Kind of like tamagotchi or sims. Feed them, play with them, and watch out for enemies! There's no server, just emojis in the url and client-side logic. Any linkians url using the supported emojis is a valid game state so you can save your game, or type out your own url and send it to a friend. I'd appreciate any feedback.

I learned Pixel Art design on Coursera and built a pixel art game for my wedding's save the date using React. The game is on "endless runner" style and our guests have to jump over the typical animals of the island of Florianopolis (where the wedding took place) and gather the two rings in order to find out the wedding date.
