24 alternatives to Deskofy CLI – Build Desktop Apps Fast
I built an open-source CLI tool to solve a pain point I kept running into as a solo founder. Most SaaS apps stay browser-only because building a desktop client usually means dealing with native frameworks, packaging, platform quirks, signing, CI/CD, and extra infra overhead. It’s slow, expensive, and frankly not worth it for many small teams. This CLI abstracts most of that away. It: - Wraps any existing cloud app into a desktop app - Requires almost zero native code - Runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux (Not fully tested on Linux btw) - Keeps the build pipeline simple (no Electron…

Buildstash▲168Hey HN! We just launched open sign up on Buildstash. It's a platform for managing and sharing software binaries. I'd worked across game dev, mobile apps, and agencies - and found every team had no real system for managing their built binaries. Often just dumped in a shared folder (if someone remembered!). No system for versioning, keeping track of who'd signed off what when, or what exact build had gone to a client, etc. Existing tools out there for managing build artifacts are really focused on package repository management. But miss all the other types of software not being deployed that…

I've been building computer-use tools for a while, and I quietly launched this about a month ago (122 Stars on GH). I figured it was worth sharing here. Over the last few months, a lot of computer-use agents have come out: Codex, Claude Code, CUA, and others. Most of them seem to work roughly like this: 1. Take a screenshot 2. Have the model predict pixel coordinates 3. Click x,y 4. Take another screenshot 5. Repeat That works, but it's slow, expensive in tokens, and fragile. If the UI shifts a few pixels, things break. And the model still doesn't know what any element actually is. But the…

Hi HN! This is Daniel from Floutwork (https://www.floutwork.com) Floutwork is an all-in-one desktop app designed to serve as a personal work system, offering a no-BS approach to getting real work done online. Background: When I transitioned from a development role to a product management role, I realized there was no real organization or structure to the way I worked as a PM. Tasks I needed to complete were scattered across emails, Teams, meetings, etc. I was inundated with emails and found myself juggling multiple browser windows, numerous open tabs, and other desktop…

Cosmic CLI▲117Hi HN, I'm Tony, founder of Cosmic (a headless CMS). We just open-sourced a CLI that covers the full lifecycle of a content-driven app from creating the content model to deploying to production to updating the codebase all without leaving the terminal. Here's what the full workflow looks like: # Create a project with an AI-generated content model cosmic projects create # → "A recipe blog with recipes, categories, and authors" # Generate content cosmic content -p "Create 5 recipes with images across different categories" # Build a full-stack app wired to your content cosmic build -p "A modern…

Hey, we’ve been working on an open-source project built on top of Comfy for the last few weeks. It is still very much a work in progress, but I think it is at a place where it could start to be useful. The idea is that you can turn a workflow into a web app with an easy-to-use UI. Currently, it should work with any workflows that take images and text as input and return images. We are aiming to add video support over the next few days. Feedback and contributions are more than welcome!

Onboard-CLI—a blazing-fast developer tool I built in Go. It uses AST parsing (Tree-sitter) to map out codebase architecture and automatically blocks spaghetti code and bad dependencies locally before you even commit. I heavily optimized the concurrency, so it can parse 50k+ files in under 10 seconds.
