I started building this 10 months ago, largely using agentic coding tools. I've stayed very involved in the code base and architecture, and have never moved faster in my life as a dev. The word processor engine and rendering layer are all built from scratch - the only 3rd party library I used was the excellent Y.js for the CRDT stack. Would love some feedback!

I’m one of the co-founders of Doctly AI. I wanted to share our story. We didn’t originally set out to build a PDF-to-Markdown parser. It all started when we were building a RAG solution for a company that deals with regulatory agencies. All of their data was in PDFs, and as it is apparently with lawyers, they like to print and scan documents to make it hard on their counterparts. Hi HN I recently published docs-cli to pypi. I created this tool because I noticed that my docs kept getting out of sync: I've been using markdown to track the project's implementation and progress, and it became really hard to keep track of everything. This is a simple tool for your agents to ensure that links and indexes are kept fresh. I included the agent-playbook-suite marketplace since this is how I use it.
