Hello. I was looking for a simple and clean habit tracker. I went through a few apps but felt they were missing something. I also had some time on my hands, so decided to make my own and share it in case anyone else likes it. Some of the supported features: Streaks based, track and beat your longest streaks Fully useable offline Freezes (similar to Duolingo's streak freezes) Visual map for tracking consistency Pause the app when you need a break or will be away For anyone curious about the tech stack: - React for frontend - Dexie cloud for storage and syncing - Vercel for hosting Link:…

I've been working on a side project called Streak.ly with a friend of mine for the past month or so; it's intended to help keep you motivated to do otherwise mundane daily tasks (like do 10 pushups, read for an hour, etc.) by letting you log "streaks" — consecutive days in a row of doing something. It's in private alpha/beta/gamma/whatever right now (has some rough edges to clean up), but is more or less functionally complete and pretty stable. I'm a big fan of the Seinfeld calendar, and have seen other services which do similar things but were unsatisfying to use, either from an aesthetic…

I didn’t want another app, notification, or dashboard. I wanted a subtle daily reminder through something I already look at all the time — my desktop. So I built a small local-first daemon that updates the wallpaper once a day with a message aligned to my goals. Hi! I'm launching https://intentions.life, a calendar designed for small habits. I used Google Calendar for 6 years, but found it hard to put small habits there, because everything takes up at least 15 minutes worth of space. It was one of the reasons my health deteriorated whenever I was too focused on writing code and talking to users for my startup. So since 2022, I spent my holidays building intentions.life. It lets me configure all my habits/chores in one place, and display them as compact bullet points. You can see the in-depth demos without logging in, and use the…

Xtreeks: Tweet to track a habit. Why? It's much more motivating to share progress with others on the same journey, whether it's learning math, building in public, lifting weights, running, losing weight, learning a language, doing a side project, etc. Here's what my habit page looks like: https://xtreeks.com/gabemays (I'll be adding my other habits soon) Longer version - Here's a confession: This is a 10+ year obsession that my wife teases me about. I've been using various habit tracking tools for over a decade and have had multiple 1,000 day streaks. It started with I when a…
