Products that do what Five.Co - The fastest way to go from database to web GUI does
Hi, we're the creators of Five, the fastest way to go from database or REST API to web GUI. We automatically translate your data structure into a fully responsive web GUI. Our platform gives you the ability to model a MySQL database, write SQL queries, add business logic and integrations through JavaScript or TypeScript functions and launch a multi-user web app to the cloud in a single click (dev, test and prod environments included). Typical use cases for us are building a database admin panel, REST API GUI or any kind of bespoke business software. I'm posting a link to a code-along…

Hi HN, I have been making this Cozo database since half a year ago, and now it is ready for public release. My initial motivation is that I want a graph database. Lightweight and easy to use, like SQLite. Powerful and performant, like Postgres. I found none of the existing solutions good enough. Deciding to roll my own, I need to choose a query language. I am familiar with Cypher but consider it not much of an improvement over CTE in SQL (Cypher is sometimes notationally more convenient, but not more expressive). I like Gremlin but would prefer something more declarative. Experimentations…

Hey HN, I’m Jimmy, co-founder of Dropbase (https://www.dropbase.io). We are an internal tools builder for Python developers. All you have to do is import any Python scripts/libraries, declare UI components, and layer app permissions so you can share them with others. We’re a middle ground between Airplane and Retool—simpler UI creation than Airplane, more code-centered than Retool. UI building is declarative and you can bind Python scripts/functions to UI components. You can write Python scripts/functions using our App Studio with support from a Python Language…

I built Duck-UI, a web-based SQL editor that runs DuckDB entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. No backend required. The Problem: Every time I needed to query csv, parquet, or even to play with SQL, I had to either: (a) spin up a Jupyter notebook (b) use the CLI (c) upload to a hosted service. Friction at every step (TOO MUCH to load a csv or even to test some sql (study)... The Solution: DuckDB's WASM runtime lets us run SQL analysis client-side. Load CSV/JSON/Parquet files from disk or URL, write SQL, get results instantly. Data stays on your machine. What It Does: SQL editor…

Hi, founders! We’ve actually launched quite some time ago, but (semi)pivoted a few times along the way. Jet Admin is an app builder for creating internal tools, admin panels, dashboards, external portals, and so on without coding. You can connect to any backend, assemble a UI through the visual builder, and set up data binding, transformations, conditionals, etc. through the point-and-click interface. If you need to, you can create custom HTTP, SQL queries, make data transformations with JS, and embed custom UI components. We believe that product, data, operations teams should be able to…

Hi, my name is Anguel and I am one of the developers of WhoDB (https://github.com/clidey/whodb) I am not a fan of the dbeaver, beekeeper, adminer, etc experience because they are bloated, ugly, and at best okay but not great. Hence why I started working on WhoDB. The approach: - browser-based (chrome/firefox) - no bloat - jupyter notebook-like experience (Scratchpad) - built-in AI co-pilot with ollama (local) or openai/anthropic We just shipped query history and replay (time travel?) to the Scratchpad. Would love for you to check it out and give some feedback…
