I had the concept in my head for some time and firstly just prototyped it using only HTML & CSS. Sent it to a few friends and they liked it so I made it into its own website and added few 'competitive' features like click counter and share button.

Hi, I've created an application where you can follow step by step origami fold instructions, and a Creator where you can make these interactive folds. On comparing to video instructions, you have the ability to quickly skip/rewind steps and replay a complicated step many times. On the creation side, there have been one or two attempts at this before, but those solutions rely on mouse drags as the user interface. This greatly limited the kinds of folds possible. The foldMation Creator uses commands, keywords and values to compose a domain specific language/step and provides a…

I built a daily puzzle where a piece of paper is folded and hole-punched, and you predict where all the holes end up when it's unfolded. It's the kind of thing I used to do in grade school with actual paper and scissors, and it turns out the mental version is a surprisingly good spatial reasoning challenge. Three difficulties each day: easy is a 4×4 grid with one fold, hard is 6×6 with three folds. It's built with Next.js. The puzzles are generated deterministically on the fly using a daily seed. The engine runs a forward simulation of the paper folds using 2D coordinate mirroring, then…

I’ve been building a few small games to help kids (and curious adults) build reasoning and logic skills. Think Word Ladder, Prime Hunter, Math Maze ,all in the browser, no installs. Would love feedback or suggestions for new types of puzzles

Hi everyone, I built FuseCells, a minimalistic logic puzzle game where every level is handcrafted (no procedural generation). It started as a personal challenge to design a clean rule-set and scale it to thousands of puzzles without losing difficulty balance. What’s unique: • 2,500 handcrafted levels across multiple grid sizes • Deterministic logic — no guessing required • A rule system inspired by constraint-solving and path-finding concepts • Daily challenges and global progress tracking • Fully built as a solo dev project Technical notes for those curious: • Level generation tools I wrote…

It's like a mix between Picross (Nonograms) and Polyominoes. It's a minimalist puzzler which has no text, no tutorials (none required) and no ads set in a relaxing environment. App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/shapeuku-shape-puzzle-game/i... Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dtbgames.s... I have a bulk load of Android promo codes to give away, so if you'd like one let me know! (Sorry iOS users, I have no free codes left!)

Hello HN, I've created a new Sudoku app for iOS and Android that prioritizes simplicity and privacy. It's free to download and use, and I'd be grateful for any feedback or suggestions. Features: > 4 difficulty levels, accessible at any time > No personal data collection of any kind > Clean, minimalistic design that focuses on the game > Takes up significantly less space than other popular apps (by a factor of about 10x) > Minimal use of advertisements I was frustrated by how many of the popular Sudoku apps feel excessively over-engineered, consume a lot of storage space and some that even…

Hey HN! I just finished building a puzzle game called Corral, and I’d love to share it with you. It’s a logic puzzle played on a rectangular grid, where some of the cells contain numbers. Your goal is to mark which cells are inside a single continuous loop that encloses all the numbers. For each numbered cell, the number tells you how many cells are visible in the four orthogonal directions (up, down, left, right) until a wall of the loop is hit, plus the cell itself. So a cell with a 2 must see one empty cell before hitting the loop boundary. Gameplay is all about deduction: you can mark…
