Hi HN! During the last few years, I worked on a few applications built with Go, running on AWS Lambda. As I got to know the platform better, I started to find Go & Lambda to be a really productive combination. The applications were fast, and they ended up being much cheaper to run than what my team & I had built before. It’s probably not the best platform for _every_ application, but I was surprised at how much of our workload worked well on it. Hi All, I felt like I was re-inventing the wheel by bolting similar channel architectures onto different Go structs repeatedly so I decided to extract some common types into into one library so that they would be easier to re-use: - oneshot - spsc - spmc - mpsc - mpmc - broadcast - watch The types are inspired by Rust channels so if you're coming from Rust they should feel familiar. This is a little project I've been working on for a while in order to better learn Python. Although IRC may not exactly be the most exciting medium, I still find it to be fun and useful, this interest lead me to writing a bot. In doing this I realized that what would actually be more interesting would be if I had a framework. There may already be such a thing, certainly there are IRC libraries, but I don't know if they're well-suited to deploying bots. I'm starting to implement a barebones version of pytorch in Go. The primary motivation is: 1. I want to better learn Pytorch and how it works so what better way than to just re-implement some of its core features. 2. I write mainly in Go and haven't come across a lot of ML support in Go 3. Hi everyone, I've been working on this thing for a while. It transpiles Haml into Ruby, and then it streams patches to the browser which update the DOM. There is a memory leak in s.rb, which I'm not really sure how to solve. Seems like objects stay alive for longer than they should because of circular references or something but I'm not sure what's going on to be honest. I think this approach has potential though.
