This lets you talk to local LLMs in Apple Notes. I saw Obsidian Ollama (https://github.com/hinterdupfinger/obsidian-ollama) and thought it was handy, but I'm too lazy to migrate away from the Apple ecosystem, so I quickly hacked this together. I tend to use Notes as a scratchpad for prompts, so it's nice to do some quick inference without leaving the app. Notes doesn't really support plugins so I'm using the macOS accessibility API for reading selections and then stream responses using the clipboard (not ideal but it works).

Nowadays, a common AI tech stack has hundreds of different prompts running across different LLMs. Three key problems: - Choices, picking from 100s of LLMs the best LLM for that 1 prompt is gonna be challenging, you're probably not picking the most optimized LLM for a prompt you wrote. - Scaling/Upgrading, similar to choices but you want to keep consistency of your output even when models depreciate or configurations change. - Prompt management is scary, if something works, you'll never want to touch it but you should be able to without fear of everything breaking. So we launched Prompt…

Hi, I was a corporate lawyer for many years working with a lot of financial services and insurance companies. In practicing law, I noticed there was a lot of repetition in the tasks I was working on even as a highly paid attorney that could be automated. I wanted to solve the problem of dealing with a lot information and data in a practical way, using AI. This motivated me to start AI Bloks/LLMWare with my husband, who had a deep background in software and is a very early adopter of AI. We have been on this journey with our open source project LLMWare for the past 4 months, producing a…

What it is A single 45 MB Windows .exe that embeds llama.cpp and a minimal Tk UI. Copy it (plus any .gguf model) to a flash drive, double-click on any Windows PC, and you’re chatting with an LLM—no admin rights, Cloud, or network. Why I built it Existing “local LLM” GUIs assume you can pip install, pass long CLI flags, or download GBs of extras. I wanted something my less-technical colleagues could run during a client visit by literally plugging in a USB drive. How it works PyInstaller one-file build → bundles Python runtime, llama_cpp_python, and the UI into a single PE. On first launch, it…

I built localLLLM: a small community project for running local models. Live: https://locallllm.fly.dev The goal is simple: if someone has model + OS + GPU + RAM, they should get steps that actually work (ideally one liner) I need help populating and validating guides. If you run local models, please submit one working recipe (or report what failed). Would love to hear general feedback as well!
