My wife and I just launched this app because we had so much fun with a fitness challenge we did we some friends recently where everyone put in $100 and defined their goals, then only the people who met their goals split the pot. It made us realize there's really no better motivator than money. It's better on mobile screens right now as we just designed for mobile screens for now. And we did manage to put it up on both app stores - it's low in the ranks but you should be able to search it by "Goalie challenges". We built it using the leanest tech stack - Ruby on Rails, server-side HTML (no…

We’ve been working on a playground that showcases what our cofounder-matching mobile app can do (https://coffeespace.com). It’s designed as a swipe gallery (similar to Hinge), but instead of matching romantically, you’re swiping through profiles of potential cofounders. The profiles are simulated and representative of the real users you'll find on our app. You can even try setting filters to refine your matches. http://invincibilitee.com Me and my co-founder submitted an app for YC W11, with a web site that would help college graduates figure out what jobs they could get with their chosen degree. We got a rejection email, and already had this as a back-up idea in case we did get rejected. So in the month between rejection and today, we found a printer, found some graphic designers, and got enough done that we felt comfortable with it as a first iteration. I know there aren't so many non-web app startups on HN, but I thought y'all might like to see how 2 guys rebounded from YC rejection.

My (revised) MVP - the concept is to put all job-finding activities in one app: job search/listings, emails/replies, resume/portfolio pages. Automate the searches, have an email editor that sends out themeable HTML emails, know which recipients are interested, and point them to a portfolio site of sorts. Briefly, the main features: * Aggregates jobs via job board APIs based on skills (searches twice a day) * Includes Twitter job search, displays linked content in-app * Email editor/sender (can be scheduled), with HTML templates * Email analytics (track clicks and views) * Preserves email and…
