Hey guys and gals! I'm learning Go at the moment and LOVING it. I was hoping to get constructive feedback on a project I'm working on - goatee - which is a notification server that utilizes Redis pub/sub and WebSockets. It's fairly bare-bones at the moment but I'm hoping to add in a lot more features as time goes on such as queueing and WebSocket channel subscriptions (via Go Socketio possibly).

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my analytics app with you. This project came from requirements to track certain very frequent events. I found that the cost to do it on a regular analytics product was much more than i was willing to pay. Secondly, I also wanted to use as few resources as possible. So I thought it may be a good idea to create something that may be useful for myself (and hopefully others). I have been able to track a great number of events with this using ~20 MB of storage and memory which is incredible. I have been really impressed by golang as a language and as an ecosystem…

Hi HN. I built Payload to make file transfers easy for less-technical users who need large/fast transfers, so I have focused on auto-discovery, drag-and-drop, visually distinct device icons. It's using Tauri (an "Electron alternative" built on Rust) which keeps my binaries small and bundles to .msi, .dmg, .deb and .appimage. No CLI, iOS or Android support (yet). The network stack is a separate binary written in Go. It uses mDNS for local network discovery and TLS over TCP or Quic, with a public Ed25519 keypair for each device. The protocol is ad-hoc and symmetrical control stream using…

We've just launched our open source mobile application analytics platform Countly (http://count.ly) and its available to download from our home page. Countly uses MongoDB, Node.js and quite a lot of cool js libraries (backbone, underscore, jquery, flot etc.). We would really appreciate it if any iOS and/or Andoroid developers out there would like to try it out. Also we can provide a demo account for you to try it out if you send us an email indicating that you are from HN. Own your data, use Countly!

Hey all! Yakko from PostHog here. We manage a few large ClickHouse clusters and found ourselves using a lot of different tools internally to monitor and manage them. We also realized that there was no proper UI available for easily digging into query performance and deriving actionable insights, so we built HouseWatch. HouseWatch is meant to cover some of the functionality that pganalyze does for Postgres, but also covers some cluster management aspects that we felt were very tied together, given optimizing ClickHouse performance often requires system tuning and data migrations. It was…
