Hey guys, I built a route planner that is mostly focused on bike touring and using existing bike infrastructure. For each request you're shown what bike tracks/trails your route uses and can further explore them by showing them on map or going to the official trail route. The main idea for the app is to have a friendly and easy to use planner that would make heavy use of official bike trails data (mainly from OpenStreetMap) and make it easy to plan a longer trip using the best possible bike routes out there. Hi HN, I’m a high school student in Seattle who loves riding hills. I found that route makers like Google Maps get you from point A to B on a bike, but they don’t give you fun routes. So i made my own RouteScout lets you: - Control the surfaces (never gravel or dirt with a road bike!) on the route - Indicate your preference for hills (I LOVE or HATE hills gives you different routes) - Prefer routes with bike lanes and cycling paths and roads made for bikes. - Filter types of roads (big roads gone!) - And when looping around it won’t take you back on the same exact road on the way back…

I was a bit concerned when Google was sending comms about decommissioning Timeline on web. Then they did a mobile migration, and lost a bunch of user info. Started this app so I can always have a copy of my timeline on my icloud + server + device (3,2,1 rule) Hope y'all are able to find some value in it as well!
