So I'm a junior Go dev and I made a small site that allows me to share images with someone privately and securely, and give me control over how many times the private link can be shared and how long the image will be accessible for. There are similar services to this one, but they are either convoluted with ads, or require sign-up, or expect you to fill out a survey or something. picburn is small, safe, and has no interest (nor the code or the server space) for storing your uploads. give it a try if it fits your usecase and let me know what you think. Note: there was a typo in the url

A simple Go-based HTTP proxy designed for detailed inspection of requests and responses. It logs traffic to the console with colorization, automatic decompression, and formatting for common content types, while remaining transparent to the client application. Ideal for debugging API interactions, understanding middleware behavior, or simply getting a clear view of HTTP traffic flow with jq-like pretty-printing & colorization of request/response. Automatically redacts parts of Authorization header to avoid token leakage.

Hi HN, I built a free image compression tool called Smallimg.cc that runs entirely in the browser. The main motivation was privacy. I was never comfortable uploading potentially sensitive images to a third-party server just for compression. This tool solves that by using JavaScript and WebAssembly to perform all the processing on the client-side. Your files are never transferred over the network. Key features: Total Privacy: Your images never leave your computer. Incredible Speed: No upload/download time, just instant processing. Full Control: You can adjust quality, resize, and convert…

Hi HN — solo developer here. I built this tool ~4 years ago purely to solve my own frustration with CORS and repeated proxy setup. The idea was intentionally boring: just prefix a URL and get control over the request and response. Somehow it grew to serving billions of requests per day, including usage by companies and universities. I’m sharing it here mainly to: - get technical feedback - learn what people would actually use a proxy like this for - understand what I should simplify or remove
