Products that do what HumanAlarm – Real people knock on your door to wake you up does

I built HumanAlarm because I'm a heavy sleeper who's missed important things despite multiple phone alarms. It's exactly what it sounds like - you book a wake-up time, we send someone to knock on your door for 2 minutes. If you don't answer, they wait 3-5 minutes and knock again. Simple as that. We're live in select cities. Would love feedback on the concept and execution!

Hi guys, I built a site to solve a couple of my problems regarding sleep, and thought you guys might like it too. It's called WakeMyself, and here's the URL: http://www.wakemyself.com Have you ever overslept despite the alarm and wished "Damn, I wish I could go back in time and tell my stupid sleeping self to snap out of it." That's the basic idea behind WakeMyself. It lets you receive a wakeup call from your yesterday's self. Just leave a message, set an alarm, and you get a call from yesterday's self. Another problem I had: I really wanted to remember my dreams but always forget to…

I didn’t have a doorbell before (multiple reasons) and my house feels unwelcoming without one. So I built a doorbell app that uses a QR code - visitors scan the QR code to ring the doorbell and I get notified on my phone. Here is an example of the QR code I have on my door. You can scan it and say hello: https://www.thebacklog.net/img/2024/10/show-hn.png This was also a great excuse to build my first app for Android and iPhone. I’d love to get some feedback before I spend more time polishing the app. Please try it out and feel free to ask me any questions! No…

Hello there! I'm Ryosuke, the developer behind moneep. I've always felt deeply dissatisfied with waking up to alarms every morning. Especially when waking up alone, it can be quite lonely and demotivating. That's why I created a streaming platform where instead of alarms, you can wake up to the real-time voices of your friends. By tuning into live streams hosted by your friends, you can feel like you're right there with them, sharing laughter and starting your day on a positive note. Whether you're someone who struggles to get out of bed in the morning or just looking for a fun way to…

When we were kids, adults were always setting boundaries and keeping us on task. We thought this was annoying and relished the day when we'd grow up and get to do whatever we want. And here we are with that freedom only to find it's not that simple. We try to stay off our phones but we keep picking it up in the bedroom costing us our sleep and making us late. We need to break through task paralysis but we end up waiting until the last minute instead. Now we realize how privileged we were to have someone on the outside keeping us in check. We try to solve the problem by beating ourselves up,…
