Products that do what I built a tool to try artworks on your own wall does
Simply upload a photo of your wall, upload the artwork images, position them, and download the result. It's very lightweight and nothing is uploaded to a server - everything runs directly in your browser. Why I made this: Existing apps (like Artrooms) fell short for me because they only offered stock wall images and limited 3D positioning, especially if your wall isn't perfectly frontal. I wanted something more flexible that would allow me to experiment with more scenarios, even when the photo is taken at a weird angle. The objective is to get a feel of how'd it look like, without the result…

Hi, I'm a developer and first time i shipped the real product after observing the startups and indie hackers community for years. I had made so many useless apps [you should check my website https://ansh.life], but this time I built a very useful product that has a number of super easy-to-use tools in one app for video, music, and photo files. Users can compress, convert, resize, and do so much more with easy-to-use tools. Background: I developed a frame-by-frame video cropper to upload cropped landscape videos to Instagram Reels. However, it required FFmpeg, and as a noob video…

Hey HN! I want to show my new open-source project ArtistAssistApp. ArtistAssistApp - the web app to paint better with ease. Tools for realistic color mixing based on real paints, tonal value drawing, simplified sketching, and more. Import your own photos, select any desired color directly from the image, and learn how to mix it with your paints. The web app provides a step-by-step guide on how to precisely mix that color using your own paints using atomic or optical mixing. Atomic mixing is the physical mixing of colors together, while optical mixing is the result of placing a transparent…

Hey HN, I've spent a lot of time over the years building mockups and demo videos for my apps with tools like Photoshop and After Effects, always frustrated by how tedious it was. For the past year and a half, I've been working on building a better way. MockRocket makes it easy to show off your app, right from your web browser–no experience required. Choose a template, drag and drop a screenshot or video and display it on a realistic 3D device model. You can even animate it to create a video. You can customize as much or as little as you want, and export in up to 4K resolution. All rendering…

Hey everyone, I'm excited to share a brand new side project I just finished building: phototopixel.art. It's a simple web tool that automatically converts any photo you upload into pixel art. I've always been a fan of the aesthetic of pixel art, but manually creating it is a tedious process. After trying out some existing tools and not being fully satisfied with the results, I decided to build my own. My goal was to create a fast and easy-to-use solution that consistently produces great-looking pixel art. Behind the Scenes The core of the tool uses a combination of color quantization and…
