22 alternatives to I made a logo and favicon builder

Hi, all I worked on this tool a couple of months. I always had trouble creating a logo for my next project so I decided to automate it. Appreciate any feedback. Cheers, Dan

I wanted to build something small with Nano Banana and scratch an itch I hit in almost every project: sometimes my go-to icon sets (Heroicons & Phosphor) just don’t have the exact icon I need/want. VibeIcons generates style-consistent SVG icons from a text prompt. It’s not always perfect but it gets you surprisingly good results. Along the way I realized it’s already a halfway-decent logo sketcher too. Let me know what you think.

Conventional logos are perfectly consistent everywhere: the same proportions, spacing, colors, every time. I wanted to try something that goes against this corporate uniformity and come up with a logo system that can be individualized but is still recognizable as the company’s logo. The final implementation is heavily inspired by IDEO, where internal teams could choose slightly different versions of the logo by rearranging the letters within a grid. I also wondered about allowing logos to be put in bold so I added that functionality. The last motivation was practical. I get asked for…

I recently quit my job at a decent TTS company I was working for as a software developer advocate to pursue what I have always enjoyed doing, which is creating software that is helpful. Before and after quitting my job, I have always found it expensive and time-consuming to hire a designer that can come up with a decent logo for my software, and as a software engineer, I really enjoy coding, not designing. One day, I made a pretty bold move to design a logo, and it took me a whole day to come up with a logo that looks nice. This is the reason I built Owl AI, a logo generator that generates…

Hey HN! I develop browser extensions, I suck at web design, and I've been exploring AI/LLMs. With my new found free-time since dropping work hours, I've developed a Design Copilot browser extension [0]. It does what it says on the tin - you choose a part of your website and the tool gives you instant expert design feedback - "change this font to that, add this much whitespace, use brighter colours .... etc" The tool is completely 100% free to use, its powered by bringing your own AI API Key, and the current LLM it uses is Google Gemini 1.5 Pro. I've yet to hit the free rate-limit and I…

Hey my name is Ivo and I'm a developer and a startup entusiast. My girlfriend was out of the coutry for the weekend and I decided to do something cool like building a startup. I've done a few startups over the years but that's the first I actually released, I would love to hear your feedback on it.

I have ignored high paying jobs/ several contracting gigs to build Xervmon.com. I would really appreciate help to test the UI for UX. I want folks who can be brutal about the tool and give a feedback on which we can improve the UI and UX. The UI does standout, but to what level it stands out, I am not sure. One catch : You need to sign up to navigate through UI. First I was shy to show my work, then angry and upset when users commented and now am shameless. Be my guest and give me feedback so I can take it as another challenge to improve the user experience.

Just wanted to make my first post about something interesting I've been working on for some time. Any ideas/suggestions for new hardware or software I should try out are welcome, though I will only have time for a major overhaul in a month or two where I want to redo and document everything a bit better than how it is currently. Hope this can inspire someone to start their own homelab or give some ideas to already existing ones!

Hi HN, I am a solopreneur in the evenings and a software engineer during the day. In the past, I have created lots of calculators for my web projects and freelancing friends. These were pretty basic, but users always welcomed them. I also used currently available builders, but the problem was that they were either slow, broke on mobile devices, had nonsense page view limits, or were expensive. Some even ticked all those boxes. So I have decided to create my own, with a simple interface, and called it Creative Widgets (if it ever takes off, I plan to add more exciting stuff like charts, etc,…

Hey HN! I’ve created (co-created with my co-founder) a tool called demoshake that helps you build interactive demos and use them in your sales process. The idea is simple - you create as many demos as you want, group them and let your sales team use them in their demos calls. You can embed demos in your landing page (iframe style) too. I welcome any criticism and suggestions! Harun

Had this idea recently and just had to get it out of my head and into a (super quick and dirty) prototype. It's like Letterboxd but for anything, and with a simpler rating system you don't have to sweat about.

Hi HN! I recently built AdMuseAI — a simple AI tool that generates product ad creatives using just one main product image (plus optional reference styles). Built in 24 hours thanks to vibe-coding! Why I made it: I noticed that creating good-looking ad creatives often needs a designer or a lot of time. I wanted a faster way to turn product photos into polished ads — no editing skills required. How it works: - Upload a product image - (Optional) Upload a few reference images for style inspiration - Write a short prompt - Generate → Download your ad creatives! ~~ Free for limited time ~~ No…
