Products that do what I made a realistic fake tweet generator that's easy to use does

Hi HN, I created a (realistic) fake tweet generator to make my mum believe I'm successful until I get there for real haha. Now I can proudly (not) show her Elon endorsed my SaaS! It's 100% free to use and I tried to make it as realistic as possible while being easy to use. There are already existing similar tools but I could not find one that automatically pre-fills data from a twitter username and that handles business accounts (square picture/gold badge/company picture) so I built it. I would love to hear your feedback or suggestions!

I've been wanting a "pro-feel" Twitter stats dashboard for a while now. Inspired by Geckoboard I built TweetBoard.me If you're a Twitter power user you might like it :) Looks best in full screen! Note: There were problems when first launched but now it should be working at the real address: http://TweetBoard.me (Not working on mobile)

So I just did my semi-annual "log in to Twitter to see if it's any good yet", and found that in my absence I had followed a few thousand new spam accounts. Sweet. That explains why they emailed me and forced me to change my password last year. Being Awesome, Twitter doesn't have any way to simply toss out all your followers and start from scratch. And none of the spammy apps claiming to do so actually will (even seemingly after charging you money to try). So instead, I just pulled open the Dev console and did this:…

Hi there, So a buddy a couple of days ago came up with the idea for a new SaaS product regarding gpt and image generation. We did a quick MVP that barely works, it breaks almost 50% of the time but we still wanted to validate the idea before going all in. We have almost 1k followers on Twitter together. Did a quick post describing the idea with a stripe link in the comments with a 5$ value, no landing page, and no shipped product. In exchange, the buyers become beta users. Around 30 mins later we got our first sale next 30 mins another 5$ and so on. Do we consider the idea validated? The…

Excited to share something I've been building recently called ReplyGuy. I made it to solve a personal pain with a SaaS product I built, which was that we were always monitoring Reddit and Twitter to see if anyone had mentioned keywords indicating they were looking for us. Before, we had to go manually respond to posts, often missing good mention opportunities. Would love for HN folks to try it and let me know what you think!

Hi, everyone! Lately, I've been working on quite a few applications that require a database, and as a result, I need some data to test everything. It has always taken me a lot of time to ask ChatGPT to generate fake data for me, so I decided to create a tool for developers called FakeData. FakeData allows developers to generate fake data easily with a simple UI/UX and customizable fields. This data can be used in their applications to test various functionalities. P.S. The app is not yet finished, and I would love to hear your honest feedback on it. Please be brutally honest about what…

Hey HN, I’m a solopreneur and have been in the SaaS space for the past 3 years. My last 3 startups failed, and a common challenge in all of them was figuring out how to reach my audience. Recently I started with cold outreach (its a struggle, since I dont have much experience with marketing). I am finding leads mainly using exa.ai websets (web vector search, extremelly good for multiple use cases, recommend checking them out) and then sending them through smartlead. I ran the campaign for the past 30 days and 12-15% emails always bounced. This wasted my email credits & chances of reaching…

A friend of mine and I were talking a while back and we realized that it would be cool to run some sweepstakes on Twitter. We put up a sign up page for a while to collect some emails and we got 200 sign ups. Once we received some sign ups we got together about 2 weekends ago and we put together a web application that lets people create sweepstakes on Twitter by counting the mentions and picking winners etc. I want to get your opinion on the site before we let those 200 people know that we are ready for beta. I would very much appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance. The url is:…

Been in the AI image gen space since 2023, before even GPT image gen was a thing, and after spending ~9K on Facebook ads for my own projects (made a video about that actually) I realized the thing I kept getting stuck on was the creatives themselves. I'm horrible at making reels-type video ads and Canva even with templates is surprisingly complicated for ad-specific stuff, plus everything ends up looking the same as everyone else using the same templates. Made a video going into detail about the full FB ads journey if anyone's interested:…

The following HN post prompted me to make this: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2168220 I have created http://onememory.me Alright, so it's not super-viral. It has been online for about 3 hours, so far. I made two or three tweets about it, and posted it on my Facebook wall. Within the three hours, I've seen ~200 unique visitors and had only 31 of them register. A very large percentage of that traffic all came from Twitter. Not many people seem to be sharing their URLs by way of my "tweet this" or facebook share buttons, though. I'll be making those more prominent soon. It's a similar…

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a tool I built to help you quickly find potential customers across social media for your product. It's a really simple concept: you simply paste in your landing page URL, and it shows you highly relevant posts across Reddit (Working to integrate few more) from people who likely need your product or service. For example, if you have a minimal to-do list app, it will show you posts like "Anyone know of a minimal to-do list app?" or "Really starting to dislike how complex Notion is." These posts are from the last 48 hours, updated in real-time, and uniquely…

Recently there were some changes to the Twitter algorithm and one of the most important ones was boosting video content even more in the feed, which got me thinking: "Why shouldn't we benefit from the algo changes and get a boost every time we are sharing some visuals?" So I spent the weekend building a tool that: - Turns your images into videos - Has 30 beautiful animated gradients that we can pick from - Is completely FREE I'd love to know your thoughts about it!

I really didn’t want to go through with putting the effort to even attempt at tweeting at Elon as I didn’t think he’d see it. Well, he definitely won’t see it because I ended up doing it and Twitter banned my account for posting this tweet which was in reference to a comment made here the other day. That’s pretty suspicious given it was about their fake accounts. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/931832635758641158/976136613044322394/IMG_3361.png Hopefully that link works? Hey there -- thought I'd show this simple app off. I'm bad at rails/html/css/js but made a Rick Roll generator in just under a day with rails! It's kind of incredible how relevant the rick roll still is after ~15 years. Any generated Links Dynamically make opengraph tags to disguise themselves as whatever the user inputs. It's been pretty fun to see people making their own Rick Roll links. Everyone wants to make a million dollar SaaS app but making dumb little apps like this is something I might do more of! Also -- it's kind of messed up how easily you could phish someone,…
