I was tired of of old and busted PDF résumé, so I thought why not try adding some of the information into a DOOM WAD instead. As a way of conveying information to an employer it's terrible, but if it takes longer than 30s to play, it might be looked at longer than the average résumé.

Stack: WASM + Rust + Macroquad I saw that a company had posted a cool job ad where you had to apply directly via a REST API. That gave me the idea to gamify my resume as well. Since I was bored, I vibe coded a bit and voilà, the result was ready. I think it's something new and fun that might put a smile on people's faces. I hate writing resumes. It's a chore. There is very little creativity involved in most cases. So, why not make it easier? Either convert your LinkedIn profile or manually enter the data. Either way, you'll have multiple themes to choose from. I'd love to hear your feedback (good or bad, you won't hurt my feelings) ;). Hi all, 1995 was a simpler time. There was no react, SSR, component libraries, and developers only had 4MB of RAM to work with. If you ask me, UIs have only gone downhill since then. Wrote a proof of concept script for searching for jobs by copy pasting your resume. It looks for jobs posted on Hacker News Who’s Hiring from the past 3 months: https://colab.research.google.com/drive/12wt7cjhIUKf1Vu2rRFO... To use it, click Runtime > Run All. Wait about 5 minutes, then once everything is done, go to the bottom most cell and you can change the query variable from my resume to yours, and then re-run the cell. Largely written by GPT-4 and copy pasting documentation, with some minor tweaking.
