For the last 6 months, I've been building ORUS Builder, an open-source AI code generator. My goal was to fix the biggest issue I have with tools like v0, Lovable, etc. – they generate broken, non-compiling code that needs hours of debugging. ORUS Builder is different. Hi It's Logan (op) and David, we are launching our first open source Python SDK generator with other languages to come :) We built this because we believe that the OpenAPI Generator project is a mess and simply doesn't work for most users (us included). Additionally, proprietary generators miss the mark for complex use cases, and restrict developers from doing what they do best: writing code. But I often find unit tests are hard to read, and especially harder to quickly identify what are the important pieces, or even what the test is testing about. So I came up with this lightweight library to help enforce unit tests with a Given-When-Then structure. I hope you find this useful. Hi, I've made a Dis virtual machine and Limbo programming language compiler (called RiceVM) in Rust. It can run Dis bytecode (for example, Inferno OS applications), compile Limbo programs, and includes a fairly complete runtime with garbage collection, concurrency features, and many of the standard modules from Inferno OS's original implementation. Hi HN - Marius (mbuleandra) and I built Restly as a side project. Restly generates a user-friendly tutorial against any OpenAPI spec. While building public-facing APIs, we found that writing these guides by hand took a lot of work. Many OpenAPI specs were too large to send to GPT-4 / Claude directly, and even when we could send them, we experienced lost-in-the-middle and hallucination issues. Hi HN, I built NOMA (Neural-Oriented Machine Architecture), a systems language where reverse-mode autodiff is a compiler pass (lowered to LLVM IR). My goal is to treat model parameters as explicit, growable memory buffers. Since NOMA compiles to standalone native binaries (no Python runtime), it allows using realloc on weights mid-training. btrc is a statically-typed language that transpiles to C11. It adds classes, generics (monomorphized), type inference, lambdas, f-strings, collections (Vector, Map, Set), threads, GPU compute via WebGPU, ARC memory management, exception handling, and a standard library — while generating strict C11 with no runtime, no GC, and no VM. I was recently playing with Apple's CoreML and had several painful observations on tooling. It's not enough for a long read but should be for an HN post. In short, you can take a simple BERT-like encoder model in PyTorch, convert it into an f32 CoreML checkpoint, and run it on CPU or GPU, but not NPU. Let's unpack this.
