Products that do what I will call your phone to hold you accountable does
When we were kids, adults were always setting boundaries and keeping us on task. We thought this was annoying and relished the day when we'd grow up and get to do whatever we want. And here we are with that freedom only to find it's not that simple. We try to stay off our phones but we keep picking it up in the bedroom costing us our sleep and making us late. We need to break through task paralysis but we end up waiting until the last minute instead. Now we realize how privileged we were to have someone on the outside keeping us in check. We try to solve the problem by beating ourselves up,…

Problem: You have a million things going on and stuff slips. Passport renewal, car registration, kid's doc appt, why you started going to the gym in the first place. You text yourself reminders on the go or dump it in your notes app and never look again. Solution: Faro. Text it what you need to do, and every morning it texts you the list of what's still open. No editing notes, no re-texting yourself a new list. 3. Zero friction. No…

I tried the usual, app blockers & time limits, but i always find myself hitting “one more minute” like a junkie. i’m not looking for a complete social media absence or deleting everything as these radical solutions don’t fit my lifestyle and needs and i tend to come back needing even more.…
