This course was intended for ages 7 and up, including adults. I really tried to make the material accessible to everyone, and hopefully not be too boring, while it establishes a solid foundation for learning anything else. If you do watch it, let me know if it is helpful in getting a solid foundation! My background: Before I got full-time into software development, I was doing a Ph. D in math at NYU. Hey HN, I don’t know who else has the same issue, but: Textbooks often bury good ideas in dense notation, skip the intuition, assume you already know half the material, and get outdated in fast-moving fields like AI. Over the past 7 years of my AI/ML experience, I filled notebooks with intuition-first, real-world context, no hand-waving explanations of maths, computing and AI concepts. I’ve always found that online calculators tend to have bad UIs, especially on mobile. Most of the calculator websites I’ve come across use outdated and inconvenient ways of inputting data, or they format the results in confusing ways. If AI got lucky or not, AI is surely going to assist in solving serious math problems.
