Products that do what Idea to App store in 1 month using JQuery Mobile + PhoneGap does
This is a side project I made with the help of JQuery Mobile and PhoneGap. Design (1 week) Actual coding was about (2 weeks) Release to apple roller-coaster ride (1 week) Content came from my business partner. I was so worried Apple would reject the application because it's 90% javascript, but to my surprise it passed with flying colors! I ended up rewriting the app a few times because jquery mobile was so slow. I wrote it again using Zepto but it wasn't any faster. Turns out the web view in iOS uses an older version of the mobile safari, and as a result a slower javascript engine.…

The twist is that although it does (part of) the job of an app store, it's not (nor aims to be) an app store. It's a script you add to your existing web app that makes it "self-distributing". Check it out: https://progressier.com. Under the hood, it leverages the concept of "PWA", but it goes further: 1. It creates an installation page for your app that looks like an app store listing. Demo example: https://install.page/covid 2. It handles every OS/browser combination to create an installation flow that works everywhere (e.g. on Safari/iOS, with in-app…

After getting impatient with a "SwiftUI for Designers" course I decided to fuck around and find out. Just hours after asking my 1st question: "Are you familiar with SwiftUI?" the core functionality of this app (an exercise utility) was up and working. I've spent the past week tweaking the UI with small animations and features. It's a humble tool (local storage only) but I am nonetheless floored with how GPT has allowed me to completely skip the "learning syntax" part of development and ship something that I actually use. Not only did it lower the syntax bar virtually to 0... I've learned…

A little background: I'd been throwing this idea around in my head for a while, and finally had some free time between two quarters of school, and decided to make the site. I spent several days over the break laying out the backend for the site, and starting coding, and then the next few weekends finishing it up (and I've been making small changes since then). Where I got the idea: I originally got the idea when trying to look up coupons for some pizza places, and having a lot of trouble finding any that worked at my store since they were all regional, or weekly codes, so I just manually…

Had some time available and wanted to play with user interface design, so I thought of a simple app that lent itself to that. Coding was roughly 8-10 hours for the whole thing, then another 15-20 hours to take the pictures (homemade studio, iPhone for camera, Gimp to edit). Looking forward to your feedback, and I have promo codes available for anyone that wants them https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/simple-knot/id593421479?mt=8

Hi guys, I've worked on several apps in the past couple of years, and found that it takes too much effort going from having an idea to building an app and having the world use it. I wanted a way to have an idea, turn it into a fully functional native app, and share it with the world, all in the next 5 minutes, as quick and as easy as writing a blog post. That's why I built Jason. Basically Jason lets you build a native interface to display and interact with any data format (csv, rss, html, json), any website, any API in any way you want, simply by writing a JSON markup and loading it.…

I could complete this project from idea to release in under 24 hours as I had most of the screens and code required for this from an earlier project. The idea came from a friend of mine who had been talking about his need to manage/track expenses of his company's sales executives on the road. I would love some feedback link: http://www.spendstudy.com/

Hi I'm the developer of UX-App if you have any questions then fire away :) Just thought I'd give you all some background. I'm a high school teacher by day and developer by night. I was bitten by the start-up bug a few years ago and UX-App is my first product launch. In between a full time job and a 5 month old at home it has taken about 3.5 years to complete the project. I'd like to think its a unique product that holds its own against the existing competition and even has some features that no other tool has. My favorite aspect is the visual code builder which allows designers to easily…
