Quick background: I used to code. Studied it in school, wrote some projects, but eventually convinced myself I wasn't cut out for it. Too slow, too many bugs, imposter syndrome — the usual story. So I pivoted, ended up as an investment associate at an early-stage angel fund, and haven't written real code in years. Fast forward to now. I'm a Buffett nerd — big believer in compound interest as a mental model for life. I run compound interest calculations constantly. Not because I need to, but because watching numbers grow over 30-40 years keeps me patient when markets get wild. It's basically…

I am an indie hacker and have been launching my products on Product Hunt. Like many of you here, my experience with PH sucked: Lots of bots. Hard to compete. There's also been many new launch platforms coming up, but all of them make you compete for upvotes. Ugh. So I have been working on something different: https://saascurate.com/ It's a community-driven platform where indie hackers and SaaS founders help each other grow their products. The idea is simple - list your product, engage with other founders, gain exposure and social proof. No upvote system. It's hard and…

A little over a week ago, I was wondering if anyone would care about the thing I’d just built. Let me rewind a bit. I’m a solo indie maker, just like a lot of you. I’ve built so many projects, put in the work, and then… nothing. A few months ago, I launched something I was genuinely proud of on one of the big platforms. I was excited, hopeful. But within hours, it got buried under a pile of other launches. No one saw it. No one cared. That sucked. Not because I expected it to blow up overnight, but because it felt like I never even had a shot. And I kept thinking about how many other indie…

For years, I have struggled to understand my cash flow and save for the future. In addition to that, my wife has many credit cards and accounts that complicate matters. I am building a tool that connects all our accounts, helps us create a budget, and tracks and adjusts expenses on the fly. I am also sprinkling some AI magic on it for financial suggestions. I am looking for feedback on the implementation. More importantly, I am looking for more beta testers to improve the product.

Hello everyone. I'm a relatively new developer and I started my first project to go full production recently. It is a directory of payment processors and payment service providers. It's free to use and gives detailed info on their pricing, business model, supported business types, available countries, prohibited businesses and high risk business support. So far only 40 have been added with more to come. And I allow processors to contact me so that they're details can be added to the database. I'll eventually automate this and add verification the months to come. I hope you'll find it useful.…
