Products that do what Instawell, an anonymous community for our health + New API does
My co-founder & I wanted to log our health ups and downs, with each other, with strangers dealing with similar problems & maybe even with medical professionals. We are very proud to share our brand new service - Instawell. Instawell is an anonymous public network for sharing health issues and connecting with doctors. You post an issue, track it, update it, and get simple feedback. You can invite a friend to share the issue, so you can both track something while remaining anonymous to everyone else. People can discover others dealing with the same issues and around them. Instawell is offered…

We have been working on the Charting Chaos podcast (currently only available on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@chartingchaos?_t=8d7RtZh51Rq&_r=1) and encountered some traction. We have been building the Charting Chaos forum to give a place for healthcare providers to connect with each other in a private, verified way. The idea is that your license number is required when creating an account so we can verify asynchronously that users are genuine, healthcare workers. Let us know what you think!

I created Curenote, a social way for people to get help with their health problems. Others who may have experienced the same health problem can offer their knowledge and advice on what they did to cure their ailment or illness. People can offer their advice and support on topics such as cancer/diabetes, sexual health, drugs & alcohol, violence, diet & fitness and many more. Please let me know what you think. Your honest feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!

Wife of an app-builder here. My husband quit his full time job at Apple to work full-time last year on a new social audio app where you are anonymous and there are no videos or images - people can only connect with their voice. The app has been up for just less than 2 months, and it was incredible to see 300 users from all around the world leave voice messages of support for each other. It definitely restored my faith in humanity, so much so that I decided to jump on board as a co-founder :) We are on a mission to end loneliness that is gripping our world today, and we hope you also come…

I hope you are doing better today than yesterday. (TLDR in the comments; or enjoy my story :) ) Why: About 11 months ago, I launched my app for the first time on Reddit's r/lonely because I had previously experienced loneliness myself during grad school. I wanted to reach out to people going through similar experiences by providing them with what would’ve helped me in the past. I felt this was an important mission for me and a much more rewarding one than my day job that I quit my job to work on the app full-time. It was necessary because I did not come from a programming background. I…

Hello HN community, For the past year we’ve been working on this disruptive new thing. It’s about people, community, communication and truth. Throw is the new space for asking and answering questions anonymously. We believe that in today’s world (both online and offline) content in communication exchanges is strongly influenced by the personas, profiles and façades people maintain/upkeep/safeguard socially, ideologically and on relationships. From the way people post on Instagram the life they want others to believe they have, or the way people behave on thanksgiving with family,…

Hey HN! I built https://withmurph.ai, an open-source personal health assistant to help you build healthy habits that actually stick. Everyone has something they want to improve, but it's way too hard to change your behavior. I've been using Murph myself for weeks, I've started a few sleep improvement experiments with Murph that've improved my deep sleep already, and run some challenges over group-text with friends. Murph has three key features 1) Talk to Murph on iMessage, Telegram, and Email and connect labs/wearable data 2) Run health experiments with proactive check-ins and…

Hi HN community! NOTE: This is a repost due to missing of links I’m excited to introduce Lambda, a project I've been working on. Lambda is the world's first open-source social media app designed to prioritize your privacy and well-being. It's still in its early stages, but I'm eager to share it with you and get your feedback. What is Lambda? Lambda is an open-source social media app that addresses privacy concerns and reduces social media addiction. Here's what makes Lambda unique: - Privacy First: Lambda does not collect personal information beyond your email address for account creation.…

Hello. :) I've noticed for the last few years it feels like everyone has been saying the same thing, that social media got baaad, timelines feel hostile, nothing you see is actually from people you chose to follow, and every platform seems optimized for outrage, screenshots, and engagement bait rather than the original microblog ideas of the early 2010s I miss the 2010 social styles, where you have to share your @name with a friend IRL because search wasn't really search... A place where you followed people, saw what they wrote, stumbled into interesting discussions, and hashtags meant…

Hey HN! I'm trying to create a community of people that are willing to contribute to the OpenDolphin project. The goal of the project is to build an Open Source _centralized_ social network that would ideally compete with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The main difference between the well established social and this one would be that it is going to be built and managed in the public, in the most transparent way possible. Features will be implemented and requested by the community - and generally speaking everything would be community-centric. If the project takes off, this might become one…

I spent 9 months in abdominal pains. 7 endoscopies. Turned out the problem wasn’t even in my gut. That mess is why I built Healz.ai - AI + real doctors-investigator who build complete picture and look for root causes. I’m not here to pitch. I just want to know if it’s real or crap and are there people like me sometime ago. Please burn me as much as possible. Just want to make no bullshit service. No marketing. No “AI doctor”, NO "text-to-porn generator" hype. Just trying to make something that could save people the months I lost.

I love the idea of quantified self and recently decided to pull all of my data in one place. I pull all of my data from ActivityWatch, Wakatime, and Health Connect APIs :)

TLDR: I built a "quick and dirty " private social network for my friends, posted on Reddit and HN, got some interest so now have built it properly along with my brother. site link: https://intimost.com/login/ demo creds: [email protected] Demo123! Full version: I needed a social network where I can just send updates and nothing else. So I built it, my friends liked and now I have built it "for the world". Everything is private by default. - Text-only updates - No likes. Only views to acknowledge a post - [in development] Comments are private between the poster and…

Hello Hacker News! In the past few weeks I've been working on a side project that allows you to post anonymously a short message and a photo that is tied to your location. Other people can see posts around them in a radius of 1 kilometer. Posts are ephemeral and disappear after one day. That's all. It started as an exercise to try to write a geohash index and to try nodejs and Redis. I'm not sure if/how it could be useful. Maybe it could be used as a quick way of sharing something with someone next to you, or to leave a reminder for someone at a specific location. Or it could be abused…
