24 alternatives to Interactive pinout for the Raspberry Pi Pico 2

I've been trying to make accessible and beautiful GPIO pinouts since I started one for the Raspberry Pi in 2013 [1]. I've since given the Raspberry Pi Pico [2] and Pico 2 [3] microcontrollers the same treatment when they launched. Recently I've updated these with a new "Upside-down" view to complement the rear view, giving a pinout in the right orientation to match your project. The Pico sites are all hand-coded single HTML pages with supporting CSS and minimal JS. They are set up to optionally install as a "Desktop" web app. They also degrade into a somewhat usable table in lieu of CSS and…

This is an interactive GPIO pinout reference for the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 microcontroller. It provides multiple viewing options including front, rear, and upside-down orientations to match different project setups.… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes.

I wanted to create an accessible alternative to the official Pico pinout image, offering more complete pin details, light/dark modes, screen-readable text, and at least some capacity to focus on the peripherals you’re interested in. It’s a sister site to the now ancient Raspberry Pi pinout (https://pinout.xyz/) which started out life hosted on a Raspberry Pi.

I was experimenting with ways to store pinout data to generate the Pico pinout website [1] rather than hand-editing HTML- and got carried away. Pretty much all the heavy lifting is done by the Python library "rich" [2], which makes colourised/structured output on the command-line dangerously easy. * [1] - https://pico.pinout.xyz * [2] - https://github.com/Textualize/rich

Pico is an open-source alternative to Ngrok. Unlike most other open-source tunnelling solutions, Pico is designed to serve production traffic and be simple to host (particularly on Kubernetes). Upstream services connect to Pico and register endpoints. Pico will then route requests for an endpoint to a registered upstream service via its outbound-only connection. This means you can expose your services without opening a public port. Pico runs as a cluster of nodes in order to be fault tolerant, scale horizontally and support zero downtime deployments. It is also easy to host, such as a…

I was tired of looking in two places when referring to the datasheet for pin functions and locations. This simple one-page website brings the RP2350A's pins, alt functions and notes together into a single table. You can click pin functions to mark the ones you're using in a design and view them on the QFN-60 minimap- useful for routing or finding the right pins to scope. I have more features planned- such as JSON export (so you can run your own code-gen or symbol gen tools on pin configurations) and minimap rotation. This is basically pico2.pinout.xyz for engineers.

This is the third camera I've designed/made around the raspberry pi parts/ecosystem. The repo has all the STL files, parts list, most wiring diagrams. The first one was the custom Pi Zero HQ cam which was featured on a Hackaday article/podcast. The modular version (aside from being able to swap cameras) mostly has the latest software. Recently I added the ability to process videos in the background (ffmpeg merges wav/mp4 files together). The camera uses crop-zoom-panning for dialing in shots with manual lenses. The menu is created by layering images/text with PIL.…

I have realized that a lot of people nowadays self-host services and set up home labs with mini racks. One major pain point I have come across personally is to quickly get health status from self-hosted services and machines, and have the ability to headlessly control my Raspberry Pi inside a mini rack. So It got me thinking about building a built-in GUI that users can easily add to their Raspberry Pi nodes in their (mini or full) racks or elsewhere. I have previously designed this GUI for an open source project I have been working on (called Ubo pod: github.com/ubopod) and decided to…

I've been hacking away lately, and I'm now proud to show off my newest project - The Icepi Zero! In case you don't know what an FPGA is, this phrase summarizes it perfectly: "FPGAs work like this. You don't tell them what to do, you tell them what to BE." You don't program them, but you rewrite the circuits they contain! So I've made a PCB that carries an ECP5 FPGA, and has a raspberry pi zero footprint. It also has a few improvements! Notably the 2 USB b ports are replaced with 3 USB C ports, and it has multiple LEDs. This board can output HDMI, read from a uSD, use a SDRAM and much more.…

I’ve built hardware projects for years, and the gap between “I want X” and “parts ordered, files ready to print” always took weeks. Modo compresses that. Describe what you want (e.g. “a portable CO2 monitor with a display and buzzer”) and it generates: - A bill of materials with real components (MPNs, not hallucinated parts) - A printable enclosure generated from actual part dimensions - Wiring diagrams, firmware boilerplate, and assembly instructions - Design validation (power budget, pin conflicts, mechanical fit) Everything streams in real time as each phase completes. The key idea is…

Hey all - this is the software part of my cyberdeck, called the Slimedeck Zero. The Slimedeck Zero is based around this somewhat esoteric device called the PicoVision which is a super cool RP2040 (Raspberry Pi Pico) based device. It outputs relatively high-res video over HDMI while still being super fast to boot with low power consumption. The PicoVision actually uses two RP2040 - one as a CPU and one as a GPU. This gives the CPU plenty of cycles to run bigger apps (and a heavy python stack) and lets the GPU handle some of the rendering and the complex timing HDMI requires. You can do this…
