Products that do what IPAware – Unlimited IP Intelligence API with Flat Pricing does

Hey HN, We built IPAware (https://ipaware.io) - an IP intelligence API that doesn't charge per request. What it does: - IP geolocation (country, region, city, coordinates, timezone) - Threat detection (VPN/Proxy/Tor, risk scoring, datacenter detection) - ASN/ISP data - Clean JSON responses Why we built this: Every IP lookup service we tried had the same problem - you start small, your app grow and suddenly you're paying hundreds for what should be a commodity lookup. The metering anxiety is real. We wanted something we could integrate without worrying about the bill…

I am Abdullah from IPinfo. We have finally launched our API service that supports an unlimited amount of requests to fetch IP to Country and ASN database. It is free to use. https://ipinfo.io/lite Try out this token for the next several to check out the API service: a6c2e5328296f5 https://api.ipinfo.io/lite/8.8.8.8?token=a6c2e5328296f5 https://api.ipinfo.io/lite/me?token=a6c2e5328296f5 - The API system is built using Node.js from the ground up but we are currently moving our backend to Rust. We processed over 2 trillion requests last…

Hi guys, I've spent the last 18 months building a restaurant POS app that can run completely and reliably on iOS. Along the way, we've really pushed the devices to their limits and have something special that doesn't rely on the cloud for service, doesn't copy old and crappy "100 buttons on a screen" POS interfaces, and is still just as efficient and much more usable. Combining Bonjour (Apple's implementation of zeroconf) with the excellent Cocoa APIs also made it a relatively magical experience - you can literally watch on an iPad as a waiter takes an order on a iPod connected to the iPad.…

We've just launched an opensource golang `ipinfo` cli that lets you quickly and easily get IP address data from the cli. You can lookup geolocation, isp, carrier & vpn status for a single IP (in much the same way you can by `curl ipinfo.io`) but there's a bunch of additional functionality, including: - bulk lookups of IPs - summarize IPs (so get top ASNs, cities etc from a ton of IPs) - grepip subcommand to grep for IPs (v4, v6 and bogon flags available) - map command to map a bunch of IPs And more! See https://github.com/ipinfo/cli for more details and installation…

Hi HN, I wanted to share this simple python app that you can host using App engine and get a free geoip service. It's pretty easy to limit it to the free quota and run without costs. You can't query for a specific IP address but it becomes super useful if you can make that request from the user's side (browser, app, etc). It only has access to lat, long, city, country, ip address but I find those to be the most useful data points. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone, after months of hard-working, I'm glad to have something to show HN. It's an iOS app to help you directly capture and intercept HTTP/HTTPS Traffic from your iPhone/iPad with ease. It's suitable for any developers who would debug iOS without needing a computer. You can also share all traffic to Proxyman macOS via AirDrop for better previewing. - Please join a beta in TestFlight (iOS 14+): https://testflight.apple.com/join/nQ69eb35 - How it works if you don't have any devices: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpzpoTN8efM&feature=youtu.be…

Hi HN! Sipp is an open-source AI inference library for running local models in browsers with up to 3x faster decode speeds than alternative libraries. My background is in HCI (human-computer interaction) and graphics programming. Me along with my co-founder have been experimenting and thinking a lot about what the next user experience will look like when tokens are commodified to the point of being essentially “free.” A motivation for us was to try to move beyond the chat app and information retrieval use cases that are dominant now, and figure out how AI could instead act as a continuous…

Most other IP lookup tools I've found are mostly just trying to push you to signup for their API, which is fine but less useful if you're just trying to figure out which IP addresses in your log files are from sketchy locations and likely to do bad things to your application. I merged together a bunch of APIs and some of our own honeypot collected data to make something I hope devs and security folks find useful. If you want to try out a "bad" IP, try this one: https://wafris.org/ip-lookup/104.244.72.115

[Are you an app developer who ships to global markets with often flaky networks? Would you find such an API useful?] We are building a network estimation API for Android and iOS. We believe developers who ship network intensive apps to international markets will find it useful to improve UX on networks with poor quality of service (QoS). How does it work? An app developer would integrate the library, and use the API to receive a network quality estimate result on a 1-5 scale. 5 being the best network and 1 being the worst. * 5 -> Good for low latency video and voice streams as well as for…
