Show HN: Runtime authorization for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex Hi HN, Fernando and I built Kastra. Kastra intercepts AI agent tool calls and evaluates them against deterministic policies before they execute. This is aimed at developers using coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenClaw. We built Kastra after one of our Cursor agents almost executed DELETE FROM customers WHERE status='test' against a production database. We caught it before it ran, but it made us realize that nothing in our stack actually decided what the agent was allowed to do. What mattered for us wasn't…

At my last company, we connected Claude Code and Cursor to almost all our internal services via MCP. It made the team incredibly fast, but we hit a wall: permissions. If you give an agent "Read Only" access, it can’t actually fix anything. If you give it "Write" access, it’s only a matter of time before a hallucination or a bad prompt results in a deleted database or a nuked production bucket. We had a few "close calls" that convinced us that simply reducing IAM permissions makes agents useless. I built Armour (https://github.com/fuushyn/armour) to solve this. It’s a…

Latch is an open-source proxy that sits between AI agents and the tools they use. It intercepts all tool calls and applies security policies in real-time: Safe operations pass through instantly. Risky operations require human approval via dashboard or Telegram. Dangerous operations are blocked completely I built Latch to address the growing security risks of AI agents accessing critical systems. There have been 1,800+ exposed agent gateways discovered in the wild and recent security audits showing multiple vulnerabilities in agent frameworks, so this was motivated by the clear urgent need…

Hi HN, We’re the founders of Abide — a tool to prevent employees from leaking sensitive data to AI models. Over the past month we’ve spoken to lots of friends at tech companies, law firms, creative agencies, and more. There was a consistent theme: companies aren’t sure how AI tools affect their data privacy and security processes. There are concerns that when employees use LLMs to write code or send emails, there's a security/compliance risk (e.g., accidentally sharing an API key in a prompt) or violation of privacy agreements (e.g., using AI to draft a memo about non-public client…
