Hi HN I needed a way to monitor network calls made by chrome extensions so I made a small extension. You can install it by dropping the zip or crx into the extensions page. A few days ago I saw this tweet from PG: https://twitter.com/paulg/status/1496549841912094733 ...and guessed it shouldn't be too hard to make a chrome extension to do this (I had never made a chrome extension before) So I took a stab at it - took me a bit over a day to make it, and it was fun to put together. Gemma Gem is a Chrome extension that loads Google's Gemma 4 (2B) through WebGPU in an offscreen document and gives it tools to interact with any webpage: read content, take screenshots, click elements, type text, scroll, and run JavaScript.
