With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.

blogstatic.io▲581A bit of context… I've been building https://blogmaker.app since April 2021, 5 years now. The launch tweet: https://x.com/BlogmakerApp/status/1383742023627247630 I had built it initially as a personal challenge to see if I could have a working product for 20 hours worth of work, and I did it. This was way before AI tools. A few months later, I included a Stripe button and the first payment came immediately in. In September 2022 I decided to focus (give up my contract gigs as a designer/dev). I took out a personal loan for $20K and then an angel…

Hey HN, maker here. It was a serious 4-6 months of effort to build this. I have never poured as much love, attention and detail into a project before. So I really appreciate you having a looksie! The homepage has a fresh list of articles every hour and is open to all. Still, I recommend signing up so you can add stuff to your reading list and follow blogs. My initial plan was to monetize this with subtle ads, but that didn't work out as the traffic to the site isn't nearly enough for that. That said, I have a fair bit invested in this and I need your help figuring out a way to make this…

You simply: 1. Connect your device. 2. Create a top-level `handwritten.blog` folder. 3. Every new notebook in that folder becomes a draft on https://handwritten.blog/ I hope this eventually obviates the need to look at the ugly upload interface you have to use to now upload your writing.

Pagecord▲122Hey HN I’ve been at a loose end for the past few days so I decided to build a thing. I’m largely devoid of original ideas so I built a (micro-) blogging app with a slight twist: you run it using email. All you need is an email account. No new tools to wrangle. No password to forget. Compose in your favourite email editor and send to a secret address. Pagecord does the rest. It's great for bloggy long-form writing, but it’s maybe even more fun for micro-blogging your thoughts as you would a Twitter feed (you can subscribe to people/blogs using RSS). I figured nobody would pay so it's…

lykhari▲21I've been blogging for 15+ years. I moved from Blogger to WordPress to Ghost and eventually being dissatisfied with all of them (primarily because of bloat), I built a platform for myself and opened it for public. After building it, I searched a bit more and found some good ones (write as, bear blog, etc) but it was quite late. All in all, Lykhari is a simple blogging platform for writers, essayists, journalists, personal bloggers, and above all for humans. Businesses are not welcome. Targeting businesses brings money but also bloat. A platform should exist which is simple and kept simple.

Hey HN! For a while I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully) to find a community for tech bloggers to get together and share what they’re working on, so here’s my attempt at making my own. It’s a completely free website and designed to be super straightforward to use. Functionality wise it’s pretty minimalist right now, with just the ability to register accounts, post drafts, and comment on other user’s posts. Support for more features like tagging post topics, user profiles and more are coming soon! Thanks for checking it out, and I’d love to hear any thoughts from the community. P.S. if you don’t…

Hey all, we're reposting from our previous Show HN about 5 years ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28644205 Since then we've grown to more than 5k users across nearly 1k groups and have sent out more than 100k update prompts. The premise is simple - social media stinks and you either don't see updates from people you care about (they never post) or you miss the updates (flooded by other people's updates or an algorithm that downplays an update you'd care about even if it's seemingly unimportant). And we're ramen profitable (more so now that we've migrated the majority…
