Products that do what Location based querying on your phone with almost any dataset does

For any data source with latitude / longitude info, you can now run queries in a few taps and visualize results based on where your phone's current location (or another location you choose) For instance: * Logistics: Which warehouses near me are sold out of a product and need to be restocked? * Food Delivery: Which orders out for delivery are more than one hour since order time? * Maintenance: What locations near me have high-priority maintenance tickets open? It works with Google Sheets, bigquery, Snowflake, Presto, Trino Software Foundation, Starburst, Oracle MySQL, Postgres, Amazon…

I find myself often texting people, "where are you?" so I wrote this little iPhone app that lets me text them a special link. When they click the link, it uses the HTML5 geolocation API to report their location and shows it on a map. http://whru.at/ It's only as accurate as the HTML5 geolocation API, but I've been finding it pretty useful. What do you think?

Yet another "talk to your data and build a dashboard" app, where data does not leave your browser. You ask a question, agents produce multiple SQL queries to in-browser sqlite, never seeing results, and write dashboard configuration code. The data you analyze will be indexed with a local semantic index (embeddings generation + sqlite vector search fully local). Next, sandboxed QuickJS runs this code to produce rich dashboards directly in your browser, no backend attached. This is a fully frontend app (except OpenRouter or other remote LLM). All data sent to LLM's is heavily sanitized and…

Hi guys! Our team of HN lurkers been hard at work for what feels like an eternity now and today we're proud to present our first public product: The Walkbase library for Android. You can get it at www.walkbase.com With Walkbase, app developers can push location-specific room-level context (e.g. in-game content, coupons, mobile ads) to various smartphone apps. The idea is to give you a logical context (e.g Starbucks, SOMA) rather than an approximate GPS position for your users and we hope devs will be able to build a bunch of cool stuff on top of this. We hope you like it and find it useful.…

Built QueryWeaver, an open-source text2SQL tool that uses a graph to create a semantic layer on top of your existing databases. When you ask "show me customers who bought product X in a certain ‘REGION’ over the last Y period of time," it knows which tables to join and how. When you follow up with "just the ones from Europe," it remembers what you were talking about. Instead of feeding the model a list of tables and columns, we feed it a graph that understands what a customer is, how it connects to orders, which products belong to a campaign, and what "active user" actually means in your…
