Products that do what macOS Apps on Linux: SwiftUI for Linux (and AppKit, NSFoundation, etc.) does
I made an open-source project that will take an existing macOS swift project and make it easily compile into a Linux (GTK/ or Qt). It's part of a new quality Swift-first OS I am making called QuillOS. I'm eager for help and for feedback. Also looking for people who have Swift code (there is very little open source swift code) who can give me example apps to compile against this to find any missing holes. The simpler/smaller the better but any size good. It's also easy to convert any working iOS app and adapt it to macOS with Claude, and then also cross-compile to Linux with this.…

This is a project I've been working on since the start of Covid-19. I built an app so that I don't have to put data into online tools like JWT debugger, JSON formatter, URL decoder, etc... https://devutils.app The app works entirely offline and is open-source. I'm selling the pre-built version of the app to earn some revenue for my time. If you want to try the app but can't afford the price or don't have XCode to build the app, drop me an email (my profile), I'll be happy to provide you a free build. I would love to hear all the feedback/suggestions. Thanks!

It's a SwiftUI app (macOS 14+) that wraps the Homebrew CLI and adds features I've always wanted: - Browse, search, install, and uninstall formulae and casks with a 3-column native interface - Bulk operations – select multiple packages to upgrade or remove at once - CVE/vulnerability scanning – checks installed packages against the OSV database - Dependency tree visualization – see what depends on what before removing things - Orphaned dependency cleanup – find and remove packages nothing depends on anymore - Duplicate app detection – spots apps installed from both Homebrew and…

Hello HN: Here is the link https://apps.apple.com/app/id1579078660 After forgetting to turn off a p2.xlarge instance for a week, I got so mad at myself I learnt swiftUI to build a native macOS console for most of the actions I do on the web AWS console. I didnt want to use electron or other non native frameworks. Most importantly I just wanted it to know how much a certain instance costs right now, no matter its state, its type, its lifecycle(like ondemand or spot) and the costs associated with the EBS volumes attached including their IOPS/throughput and etc. It also…

Hello everyone, I've built a simple macOS app for chatting with models downloaded by Ollama - https://github.com/sheshbabu/Chital It's written in Swift, consumes less memory and loads fast. It has these features: * Support for multiple chat threads * Switch between different models * Markdown support * Automatic chat thread title summarization It's my first time working with Swift and Xcode, and it has been an interesting journey. The performance of the application is a big plus when building native apps, but I wonder if I'll be able to add features like document…
