Products that do what Matrix, a fast and flexible blogging engine does

Still pretty rough ... Emphasizes: 1) Simple, no-frill dashboard for managing posts (files). 2) Lightweight markdown editor 3) Relationships: taxonomy (file tagging) and fast linking (content to other posts) Some of the important key bindings I have are ctrl+c for code, ctrl-L for linking text to other posts. Right now this is baked in but I'd want to allow users to customize it. It's still pretty beta but let me know what ya'll think! One year ago, I downloaded the news.arc code and decided that I would teach myself programming by building a better aggregator. At that time, I had some rudimentary HTML knowledge, and little FORTRAN under my belt. I knew that I wanted an aggregator that could support a wide range of submissions, and one that could scale without losing quality for the user. Hubski is what I have to show for my time and effort. The easiest way to describe Hubski is to say that it uses a commenting system akin to HN or Reddit, but uses a sharing scheme like Twitter. You have a personal feed comprised of the…

Hey everyone, For the past few weeks I've been working on a new lightweight blog engine powered by Codeigniter called "embr". I've stuck the source on Github and would love to hear any feedback or new features to add. Features: - Basic image and text posts - Tag & Category support - Disqus commenting - Infinite-scrolling on index pages - Tumblr style "reblog" is nearly complete (which will allow reflagging of posts across self hosted domains) Check out the source on Github: https://github.com/laurencedawson/embr The live demo can be viewed here (username: [email protected] pass: qwerty)…

597 days ago, I posted about the project our team was developing - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3183322 - here on HN, and today we're finally taking the wraps off what we've been working on since then. At it's core, what we've been building is an end-to-end solution for creating, storing, and working with structured content in a way that's accessible to anyone. You can check out an introduction - http://team.marquee.by/introducing-marquee/ and dig into the technical/philosophical details of our approach -…
